Sister Wives: Maddie Gives Birth!! Live Tweet Party for March 11, 2018

Welcome to tonight's tweet party for March 11th, 2018!!!

Well, it's been almost  a year since Maddie and Caleb's little boy was born.

BUT...in true Sister Wives "A Day Late and A Dollar Short" tradition, we finally get to see what we already know. So I don't want to spoil it for the few of you who don't know this already.

I will say that I didn't know that poor Maddie labored in a bath tub. At least she didn't pop baby Axel out into a toilet bowl like another TLC talent did. Should be exciting stuff, at least more interesting than Robyn's two televised "silent" moaning births.

So, let the birthing rituals begin!!

I've been saving a seat for ya on the sofa....I hope you are ready for tonight's entertainment!

Satisfy your need to discuss the show here in the comfort of my living room!
Janelle: I'm striving to keep the birth of my first grandchild classy. I just wish I had made some snacks. Does anyone want this Peanut Butter Frito I found under the couch cushion?

It's Sister Wives  L I V E  T W E E T  P A R T Y  T I M E   !!!

Prepare yourself for MORE Mr. Robyn Brown  BLOVIATING!!

I'm too young and pretty to be a grandfather! Gimme that PB frito, it belongs to ME!!
Will the current Mrs. Kody Brown even tweet tonight?

Robyn: My birthing shows were much better if you ask me!!

GET SET FOR MORE SISTER WIVES FUN AND GAMES!!!

Meri: Kody if I were still your legal wife, I'd tell you to lay off the PB fritos. Just sayin'...

Gird up your loins!
Sister Wives is on the snark menu in My Living Room Tonight!!!

DON'T FORGET TO WEAR YOUR ICONIC MSWC JEWELRY AND YOUR BEST LLR LEGGINGS!

LET THE SNARKING BEGIN!!!

  1. CJ,
Love your comments with each pic !!!
Hope everyone here makes sure to read them.

Hmmmm.....so we are to be "entertained" tonight with Maddie yelping in the birthing bathtub. Such fun !!??

Yes, CJ, as you say, all this drama is over a year old.
Now if TLC and Maddie/Caleb wanted to be creative tonight, they would have the little guy toddle/crawling in after airing the birthing footage.
JUST put the fork in this show....it is done !!!

The funniest one CJ wrote is -- Janelle: I'm striving to keep the birth of my first grandchild classy. I just wish I had made some snacks. Does anyone want this Peanut Butter Frito I found under the couch cushion?

  4. Maddie allows cameras to film her wearing only a bathing suit top in the birthing tub. Apparently modesty goes out the window when the kids give birth. I just don't get their logic.

    1. I thought that at first, but when I looked closer I am pretty sure she had on bikini bottoms at least one time.

    2. Yes, she did have bottoms on.
Which raised the question why?...if she intended to give birth in the tub.
Sure would hate to be in the throes of the final real deal pushes only to then have to yell wait a minute while I get the bikini bottom off.

  5. Christine is now calling Kody "Love." Kind of reminds me of Meri with her "Lover." That certainly didn't work out for her. Good luck Christine.

  6. 3 days of labor and no one thinks a doctor should at least check her out??

Even THIS is all for the cameras...for the show!?
    These people are nuts.

  7. OMG.......Kody is in there shouting at her to push.

  8. Wow!!!!!!! 1) NO doctors when the labor is "not normal", per Janelle 2)Kody was right there while she was pushing ... ewww, no boundaries

  9. Bringing in folding chairs to sit in the bathroom and stare at Maddie.....very disturbing to see.
    Crazy, actually to see!
Caleb should have grown a pair and ordered them out......unless Maddie and he wanted it all for the TLC paycheck.
Which in of itself, if true, is just wrong.

We all snarked and joked when Maddie announced she was pregnant that Kody probably would weasel his way in to get centerstage on the birth If he could. Well, no joke.....he could and he did!
Caleb needs to get a voice. Kody did not belong looking at his daughter’s crotch, telling Caleb how to grab the baby, it would be slippery.!
For f/sake, the midwife and assistant were there, and three other women who had births......Kody as the birthing ringmaster was nauseating.

  10. Uggggh! I don’t need an hour (which felt like 5) of the Browns explaining every aspect of childbirth to me. It’s beyond gross. I also could not help but notice how filthy Janelle’s house was. I just don’t think it’s sanitary having a baby in these conditions with people running in and out of the house! Thank goodness Robyn stayed away with her cold sores!

    1. Do you think they had a home birth because it's cheaper? I assume their uninsured, given that Maddie "works" for Meri and Caleb just moved there and is supposed to be in school.

    3. MrSpock was mainly thinking about some drugs...but if she prefers screaming and being in misery for days more power to her...

    4. Caleb actually said that Maddie texted him at work when the labor started. Somewhere a while ago on social media, he was in a photo at a Home Depot (?) in uniform.

Also, we jumped from Mariah and girlfriend at home for St. Patrick's Day 2017 last week to Maddie's giving birth in May 2017 this week. Earlier, Maddie announced that they were moving back after Mykelti's wedding - which would have been around January 2017, I think.

  12. After watching last night's episode, I think it's clear that Maddie and Caleb didn't just "happen" to come home due to health concerns. I am certain that Kody offered TLC one wedding and one birth and that's how they extended another season. Still, I was pretty riveted last night watching poor Maddie. They people are insane trying to do this at home. Even the midwives seemed clueless. So dangerous!

  13. Anyone notice tonight's episode showed Janelle and Christine's bedrooms, where both have HUGE safes. I remember when Robyn had her last offspring, there was a giant safe in her bedroom also. What's Kody keeping in these giant safes in 3/4 wife's bedrooms? And nothing says romance, like a gigantic safe in your bedroom.

    1. Kody must have loads of guns then... in each home. Can't imagine that buffoon with guns!

    2. I thought the gun safe was in Maddie & Caleb's room. I assumed they were his guns. And Christine had that gun safe in her bedroom back in Utah too. I remember thinking they'd have more room for Truely's crib if they'd moved the damn guns

    3. Yep Kody has an arsenal plus ammo. IIRC he used to have a gun dealership? And remember when the wives bought him an assault rifle for Christmas? Nothing says love like a warm gun. (joking joking!)

  16. Desire for a home birth is great, but I would have been concerned for the baby’s status at some point and would have wanted more advanced monitoring for him just to be sure.

And yes, a big no to passing the baby around to everyone present right away with flu season still in play.

    1. and a big no to sitting in a too hot bath as the midwife asked for icee to cool maddie down. what else did they dodge a bullet on becuase of a lack of monitiring both baby and mom?? and the bleeding, no need to check??? so many red flags like caleb saying he ran red lights to get his baby to the hospital, what was that about?? good lord this episode was awful. and Meri, if you dont care what your sistwives think of you emotional purchase, why ask them repeatadly??

      Delete
    2. Good point, Milo, re. Meri saying she is going ahead with her plan---so, indeed, why ask for anyone's approval. MrSpock also agree with your remarks regarding the amazing lack of concern that we viewers saw when Maddie asked about the bleeding, etc. Maybe a lot more was done that the viewers did not see, but, it made MrSpock wary of those particular midwives and Maddie's choice for the home birth.

    1. I was thinking the exact same thing!!! All I could see was the hair dryer and curling iron balancing on the sink next to a couple toothbrushes... if anything else wouldn’t you straighten up just to create a zen like atmosphere free from distraction... isn’t that the point of these (dangerous) hippy dippy home births... also news flash... it’s 2018, the birthing suites in modern hospitals (at least in NY anyway,) are gorgeous and almost spa like with dimmed lighting, aromatherapy, bouncy balls, tubs, couches, and recliners and rocking chairs you name it...OH and they have a DOCTOR

      Delete
    2. Hager's Harem,

Agree, our hospital's have the same arrangements for birthing, including having a midwife if desired.
As has been mentioned, the fact that the only monitoring done (at least what was shown) was the little hand-held device to hear the heartbeat was disturbing for a first time delivery.
Plus, sitting in hot water obviously was not productive.

    3. I wanted to unplug and move that damn hairdryer!! right next to the tub..made me crazy. also, the tub is so small all i could think of was surely Janelle dosnt use this tub..the wall..bulkhead and shelf are for what??just makes less space for the tub and shelf to put crap like dog treats and usless crap on and collect dust

    4. I have never, ever, ever, understood why when they know they are filmed for national television they don't pick up the crappola. It makes you wonder what the place looks like when they aren't filming? Everything is cluttered, filthy, etc. (except Meri's which is not filthy but lots of of her infamous "inspirational" wall hangings everywhere cluttering every available wall space). I'm surprised Christine had the presence of mind to mention that she had to buy some furniture for their old home in Lehi before filming because mattresses were on the floor, etc. no bed frames...

    5. The mess especially made me feel bad for Maddie. In one of the interviews with her and Caleb, they talked about how she had been nesting, and wanting everything to be really clean aND organized. I would have gone nuts in that cluttered mess, and I am not (by any stretch of the imagination ) a neat freak. The bathroom should have been made to feel relaxing and peaceful for her. She was laboring for DAYS and had many adults around that could have at least scooped everything up and shoved it under the sink. Gah! It seriously made me really mad at Janelle.

      Delete
    6. Yes, it spoke volumes about Janelle’s lack of awareness about the most mundane things.
This is the same mother of the bride who chose to go fishing on the morning of her daughter’s wedding rather than spend time with her daughter. The same mother who gave a reception speech for her just married daughter that highlighted the potential pitfalls of marriage.

So no surprise that she wouldn’t be motivated to help make the bathroom and bedroom a serene, clean space for her daughter to give birth to her grandchild.
Janelle seems to have few instincts for anything that requires warmth and energy.
She was true to form even in that circumstance

And considering Kody’s manic performance at Maddie’s wedding where he took over the ceremony. Including the ridiculous “knighting” of Caleb, like Janelle, Kody too behaved true to form, taking over at the birth and relegating the baby’s father to a subordinate, apprentice role.

Glad to hear that Maddie and Caleb have since moved out on their own. I

      Delete
    7. This is also the same mother who had to explain for the umpteenth time why Maddie would find it natural to ask Janelle to "go get Christine." Yes, Janelle, we all know that Christine spent more time raising Maddie during her formative years than you or Kody! I thought it was interesting that Christine hung in there right through the birth - could have just been editing, but Christine rubbing Maddie's back in the tub as the labor progressed looked much more engaged than Janelle's tepid holding the bowl for Maddie while she vomited. The only interesting genuine emotion I witnessed in old low energy Janelle was when she came out of the bedroom to explain that Maddie had kicked the camera crew out. Janelle became very choked up talking about ending the filming - it actually made me wonder if the amount TLC paid them for filming the birth might just have been dependent on how much was filmed!!

  19. MrSpock also took notice that Christine (think she was the one) stating that in Utah polygamous families could not even put the father's name on their children's birth certficates---well, yes they can, Christine. First, those men should be owning up to their responsibilities to the child, the woman, and society, and, 2) having your name on the birth certificates of children by different women doesn't make one a polygamous. MrSpock thinks that makes the guy a professional sports figure.... ;-)

    1. That’s right MrSpock. I don’t remember Bobby Brown being arrested a couple decades ago for polygamy. Whitney Houston and another woman were carrying his babies at roughly the same time. If I remember correctly both the children were even named Bobbi (Bobby). But I digress. This ridiculous fear of arrest story just doesn’t hold water anymore. Maybe 50 years ago, but not now.

  20. Question.......
Regarding the B&B property of Meri’s dreams which Kody whined that he was against owning since
that property in Utah could be seized by the devil state of Utah as pumishment for being a Plyg.

Uhmm.......since living in Vegas for the past 8 years, the Browns have continued to own the Lehi house “in Utah” until it’s sale last year. Not one peep did Kody or any of them ever utter about concern that their property in Lehi could or would be seized by the state of Utah. Never!!!!

In fact they even went back there to bury the “not-dead” poor dog.
And if memory serves me right, there was one epp where Logan, Maddie and Mariah and maybe one other older kid went there and pulled a prank on Mariah.

So it’s not as if TPTB of Utah didn't know about their Lehi property thanks to their very own show.
Yet.....still in all those years.....no seizure, no punitive actions on the Browns or their Utah assets!

    Such relentless liars and phonies!!!

    ReplyDelete

    1. Agreed! Why did they even bring that issue up since they know nothing will happen to the B&B... Oh yeah, the cameras were on and they can keep lying about being persecuted and being felons, poor them (not!).

  21. Just watched the last 4 hours of this show online. Why? I'm not sure...lol!

    1) That labor was too long. Period. I felt rushed in my hospital birth with my first (ended up being born after 36 odd hours, with major doses of petocin and forceps). I can't imagine any medical professional letting her go that long. And no mention of the water breaking. I was told you have 24 hours after the water breaks to have a really safe delivery. I really want to know when her water broke...
    2) Going out to eat while in labor? NO! You have that many people around, demand someone bring something to you. Gosh...*shaking my head*
    3) Wait, I'm confused with Meri. All this talk about "we are a family" and "we chose this life because it's the best and it's awesome," but Meri and Kody-idiot are basically living like a divorced couple? After all that is happened, I feel like they were all deny deny deny and now they are finally fessing up to what us viewers knew and could see all along and they are acting like they were always being honest with us, like they are saying, yeah, we were having issues, didn't you know? And we are all sitting here like, yeah, we knew, you just kept playing dumb and lying about it. Anyone else get what I am trying to say and feel the same way?
    2) About the B & B - Meri, pay for it yourself, or you don't get it. Even though you are no longer "intimate" with your husband, you are still claiming to be "spiritually" married to him. Either you are a member of this polygamous marriage or you are not. You cannot act like you are not, but ask for their financial help in buying basically a second home and with no way to pay for it on your own. No amount of sneaking around and being manipulating is going to convince the others to help you out. I am surprised Kody changed any of his feelings about the house.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think when Kody saw the house, he recognized it's a historical example of old time polygamy -- a tangible link to the past when plygs were jailed. Perhaps he thinks that can advance his Plyg cause somehow. Or since it's Meri buying it, he can act happy for once LOL

  22. My focus this week is on next week's preview. It looks like a therapy session where 2 or 3 wives are basically ganging up on Janelle. We all know how misleading these clips can be. I assume especially now that the show is on the chopping block. Robyn and Meri said it's no way to start a therapy session so aggressively. Janelle got cut off but I believe she expressed she was just downright angry. Good for her! Maybe all that therapy has helped her find her voice. You go Janelle and tell Meri what you really think of her and what she deserves.

    1. I am really looking forward to that episode. Honestly, I feel like this season they have given us a lot more of what we have been asking for, namely honesty. They have been much more honest about the bad feelings, etc that are going on in that family.

  23. As horrible as I find all these plyg shows, I give some credit to the Rockland Ranch folks for actually explaining the insane/heretical basis of Mormon Polygamy. The fact that they even comnent that they know it sounds insane to outsiders conveys some sincerity in their faith. I can respect sincere faith. Misogyny and legalistic as it may be--no worse than the bastardized version of Evangelical Christianity that the Duggars, et al., portray. When the other plyg shows claim "religious" beliefs (except lezbo ashley and lecherous dimitri--who clearly have no values other than material greed, sexual hedonism and general selfishness), but do everything they can to avoid explaining those beliefs.

  24. I’m reminded that Robin went into this whole talk after she had one of her babies about silent birth- I can’t unite recall what she said. Wasn’t it that her mother told her it was more respectful, it had something to do with respecting your husband, can anyone else remember?

  26. What were the kids lives like before the show began? For the most part Janelle lived away from the others. She came back when they bought the house in Lehi. How long how had they lived in Lehi before they had to "flee?" Christine's kids didn't have beds off of the floor. However, Meri probably had the best for her one and only darling. This shows that the kids in polygamy are not always well treated. Each wife is respected for giving birth to lots and lots of kids. Meri was not valued because she could only have one. What a lifestyle. I am glad I was not born into it. I think the kids are better off in Las Vegas. I don't blame Christine's son for not wanting to go back to Utah.

  29. Seeking Sister Wife, EP 5

*Deep sigh* Does anyone else think that the whole Dimitri sleeping with the potential wife thing is insane? Not that he actually slept with her, although that was insane in and of itself, but the whole "let's meet her for lunch on a public place and see if she will fess up to it with no previous communication with Dimitri" thing is really grating on me. Dimitri and what's-her-face both messed up, it's a 2 way street. Dimitri is more at fault, only because he had previously discussed rules for intimacy with Mrs. what's-her-face, and we have no clue if either of them discussed those rules with potential Mrs. what's-her-face #2. The fact that Dimitri didn't go to potential wifey and say hey, we need to talk to Mrs. wifey, because we screwed up here, and just left her to basically fess up and take the fall and the rap for it just seemed to me like a slap in the face to potential wifey. Like, dude, YOU (Dimitri) bring it up and fess up WITH her so she isn't going into this cold turkey. Does she even know if Mrs. wifey knows? If she doesn't, she might not want to bring that up in such a public space, or maybe she thinks it's the husband's responsibility to tell his wife, not hers. Were they even on the same page in regards to telling Mrs. wifey anything? I mean, obviously they were all hoping to be married eventually, but what if they both thought it was a mistake and agreed to not mention, but then Dimitri then and goes and throws potential wifey under the bus by fessing up and waiting for her to fess up too, all the while potential wifey thinks it's all supposed to remain a secret? Gah, this bothers me...

  31. Gross - Maddie let her daddy stare at her vagina during birth?? *I can say the V word, right?
And, why was KODY the one to coach her?
Is Kody the expert in pushing? Did he also stroke her inner thigh?
I personally think that Kody sometimes gets a little confused as to where the line of being appropriate is...between intimacy with his wives or intimacy with his daughters (meaning, hugs and such).
And, poor Caleb - he had to share this super intimate (birthing) moment with not only his FIL, but also his MIL, and his MIL, and his MIL, and who knows who else was in there to cheer and clap.

I would never want to blast my dad's mind with the image of my stretched vagina during birth. HE would not want that image popping up in his memory bank for the rest of his life and neither would I.

OH, and remember a few episodes ago when Maddie was going to do a gender reveal and Kody said that it would be easier to do it all at once instead of HIM having to tell 18 other people?
    Remember that?
Why didn't someone let him know that gender reveals are usually done by the EXPECTING parents, not by the FIL/Daddy.

He really must think that HE is the absolute supreme being in this family. I haven't seen it before!

  32. Another question:

Why was K and his harem SO worried about being arrested by going back to Utah??

They aren't even residents in Utah.

If they ever go back to Utah for a visit, they are TOURISTS, and last time I checked, we don't arrests tourists like that.

I mean, my pot-growing aunt who lives in CA where that sort of thing is legal, is NOT going to be arrested if she takes a vacation to, say, Alabama, where pot growing is illegal.

It just doesn't make sense to me - but maybe I'm the slow one of the group.

  34. It certainly wasn't a highlight, but near the end of the episode, Kody was on a couch with Truely and Savannah on either side of him. He opens up his arms to pull them close in a hug. However Savannah stiffens up, seeming to bristle at his attempt at being affectionate. And Truely, tries to wriggle away, but Kody tries to keep her there, so that he can have a photo-op as being a loving dad. Sadly, it seems that these two daughters know his M.O.
