SISTER WIVES: Live TWEET PARTY for JUNE 5th, 2016

Well, if the previews are accurate, Robyn should be pushing yet another Kody Brown baby from her nether regions into this cold, cruel world. Maybe not tonight, but sometime...soon, being that the Princess Ari-ola is almost 6 months old now.

I thought it would be interesting to go back in time to two previous Brown births: King Sol's and his slightly older half sister Truely.

Truely's entry into this world was documented on Sister Wives shortly before her father's much anticipated wedding to divorcee and mother of 3, Robyn Sullivan.

Some highlights for y'all to ponder...

Christine was very pregnant with Truely while Kody was actively courting Robyn to become his wife #4. Who can forget Kody gallivanting in Southern Utah with the quite lithesome former Mrs. Jessop. According to her passages in their book, Becoming Sister Wives, Robyn had previously married into what she described as a prominent polygamist family in Montana.  Pinesdale to be exact. Life pulled a cruel joke on her because that marriage did not work out, but she was able to find another prominent man to marry - at least spiritually.

Yep, she hooked her claws into Kody Brown, who along with his other 3 wives would soon be starring in a reality show on TLC.

In order to "court" his intended, Kody had to spend days away from the Original 3 Wives to make that long drive to Robyn's home, presumably in St George. That's ok though. He dragged along his older daughters to chaperone his visits, as well as babysit while he and Robyn went out on their dates.

Eventually, Robyn, her bills, and her three children moved up to Lehi so she could be closer to "The Family".

Kody and Robyn swapping pre-marital hormones

Who can forget that ironic moment when Christine called Kody from the hospital to inform him her water had just broken and he better hurry because Truely was on her way! Kody was at Robyn's rental, and when he rushed out the door, Robyn followed him out, then passionately kissed Kody ON THE LIPS while he sheepishly mumbled to the camera (and the audience) how weird it was he was kissing his girlfriend while his wife was about to give birth.

Oh, did Kody forget that his religion supposedly forbade kissing before marriage? Uh, huh...

Flash forward a couple of seasons, and we find Kody and his wives (including the newly spiritually married Robyn) living semi-large in Las Vegas. Kody even called Vegas his "Plymouth Rock". We monogamists know it better as Sin City.

Remember the scene when Kody announced Robyn was pregnant? The dumbfounded looks on the older teens faces? And that heartbreaking scene of Mariah, so upset she ran crying into a bathroom, and while her mother Meri tried to comfort her, she silently mouthed a prayer.

Not a good start. But from this we learned a chapter from the Sister Wive's handbook (courtesy of Robyn) that a baby was the manifestation that a husband and wife were having sexual relations. Or something like that.

Robyn's popularity took a nose dive.

Kody and Meri swapping legal marriage hormones

Oh yes, but then there was that totally icky scene of Kody laying a romantic kiss on Meri, just outside Robyn's bedroom door where Robyn was laboring to deliver King Sol, with the help of her step-father and a mid-wife.

Kody eventually unlocked lips with Meri and joined wifey #4, who was moaning and groaning while he appeared to...well...you have to watch it to believe it.

After giving birth, Robyn showed the audience what kind of stuff she was made of by starting a feud with Kody's son Hunter over something he had said and done to her. On camera, Hunter had mentioned there were enough people in the family. Off camera, he insulted Robyn by not showing her the respect she felt was due.

It made us all think,  Robyn couldn't mean what she was saying. After all, Hunter was a teenager, she was a 30 something adult. Who was the adult in that family unit? Hunter or Robyn?

In later seasons, we saw just how low an immature Robyn could go, including making Christine apologize for not being a good sisterwife towards her. We will never forget last season when Kody rudely told a love/romance/attention starved Christine that she had to honor his family before he would even consider giving her any attention.

And we all know which family he was talking about, don't we?

Now we are waiting to see the footage of Robyn giving birth to her latest child, the Princess Ari-ola. The only question on my mind is, who will Kody be kissing while Robyn, now the new legal Mrs. Kody Brown, pushes out yet another babe from her loins.

That's what I want to see...but I bet you it won't be Meri nor Christine. My money is on Jangle...then again, if Robyn has emasculated Kody into a hen-pecked Yes, dear kind of husband, maybe the only lips he'll lock with will be Robyn's.

We'll see...

Now, on to the TWEET PARTY!!!!

  1. The US Magazine article says that Kody officiated at Maddie's wedding.

MrSpock would like to know why Kody, in the promos for tonite's show, is telling women how to go thru labor. MrSpock isn't usually violent, but MrSpock feels an urge to tell Kody to "Shove it." If Kody is tired of women telling him to rub their back/not rub their back during their labor then maybe he should stop sleeping around and making more babies.

    1. THANK YOU Mr. Spock! What the hell is the midwife there for...they have Kody Brown M.D with his medical license he received in a box of cracker Jack's on the scene.
He is a CREEP! She picked him though

    2. If Kody officiated in anyway he is no different than JB Duggar, he knows no boundaries. Isn't the boy's dad a real minister?

  2. This is sooooo fake. I could work at TLC and do a better job. Robyn worried ab breach baby... last episode we saw Kody pressing on her face during the obligatory tummy shot at midwofe and baby was head down. Also, the episode before that there was a big convo ab how the baby had finally gone head down.. now she's breach????? Such bull

    1. What I don't understand is why Robyn allows the camera to film her naked belly? To tell y'all the truth I was watching last weeks episode and I had to turn it off because Kody was pushing on her lower regions saying he could feel the baby's head "down there". The audience (at least me) don't need to see her damn stomach. We get it. Hey Robyn, you talk about Modest being Hottest but you show off your midsection on national tv. Can You Spell H.Y.P.O.C.R.I.T.E. ???

    2. They seem to have left behind a lot of their previously professed standards of behavior. Style of dress, make-up and hair have all changed with the move to Vegas. And the swearing seems to have become commonplace among the adults and kids. They don't really even try to hide that anymore. If you wait long enough, true colors show.

    3. Can you spell cash for belly shots???

But I agree, ENOUGH of Sobbin's nether regions, pregnant or not !!
Kody's manic delight exploring her belly was sooooo skeavy !!

    4. It better be $10K for each stretch mark!!! And Kody needs to tone his manic self DOWN. Enough already!

  3. Ah, the mystery question of which non-wife will Kody swap mouth hormones with THIS time.

CJ says..."My money is on Jangle..."

Possible, CJ, except that when Sobbin was huffing and puffing (did she do it right that time, Kody?) to birth Sol, everyone was alerted in the wee hours of that fateful morning to come outside the stable/ Sobbin"s bedroom to wait in rapturous anticipation.

BUT......if we remember, Jangle declined and chose to sleep in until the news that Sol had officially made his royal entrance !!! That was one of the few times I applauded Jangle !!

So, this time, Kody may have to settle for a furtive hug with Mindy.

No, No......not a retrospect of days of old in Kodyworld with non-wives reminiscing about pregnancies. .NO, No..........!!!
No to the women being all gushy nostalgic. Not contrasted with the grim reality they have shown for 7 years !!

    1. Brilliantly said! She's always so damn disgruntled. The woman's got everything a witch could ask for, and yet her expression is that of eternal agony. Well, I guess that's what happens to a face when the soul's a battlefield of evil and greater evil... Shouldn't Christine turn her on to that stuff she's been popping? (In a much higher dose it just might work to uncrinkle that hideous brow...)

    1. Exceptionally boring. In fact, the whole show was boring and irritating with Kody narrating everything; I think my blood pressure went sky high listening to him blathering on pretending to be an expert on everything from childbirth to newborn's health to trying to command the attention of his family members. Why TLC thought this warranted a 2 hour episode is incomprehensible to me. Good god editors; fast-forward the tape and get this agony over with quicker.

This episode was painful to watch, HA, and it was Robyn birthing the 10# baby, not me! But, TLC made sure the viewers experienced our own kind of torture/punishment/hell sitting through that episode.

  7. I find it concerning that Maddie didn't gain weight for 6 months and didn't supplement with formula. I doubt the story is *completely* true, though, more of a device to talk about how Meri breastfed Maddie ("a couple times"). They also pretty much admitted Kody is not on Janelle or Christine's kids' birth certificates.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. MrSpock missed that, Labbie Lover. What was said about Kody not being on the birth certificates?

      Delete
    2. They were talking about why they were afraid of hospital births, because of the "question," and Christine used putting the father's name on the birth certificate as an example. The way they were talking, I wonder if Kody even attended Janelle's hospital births.

      Delete
    3. Ok, thanks, LL.

      Delete
    4. I just rewatched it and it was one of the more disturbing talking heads. Janelle said how important breastmilk was but she couldn't produce enough and she didn't gain weight for six months. I can't imagine a pediatrician not pushing formula with that severe of a case of failure to thrive. I hope the story was hyperbole because if not it was neglect.

      Delete
    5. I must have missed that part! Had to run pick the kids up and I don't have dvr to rewind any more!

      Delete
    6. Didn't Janelle say earlier this season the "Plygs are extremely trusting" and that's why Meri got catfished? Now they're trying to convince us that they can't trust hospitals?

      Delete
    7. But at some point they will have to put a name on the birth certificate. The logic is faulty. And their last names were all the same. Janelle Brown mom and Kody Brown dad would not raise a flag.

  8. Either Christine has a respiratory problem or she is on speed or something like it.

Or..... she is THAT nervous and anxious being around Sobbin for an extended time.....Wow !!

Hey if this beleaguered father of 18 children chooses to get regular highlights, why not concealer too. Loved the one episode years ago when he obviously needed a retouch for his highlights and his hair was all mono brown.

  10. What is TLC thinking?! Robyn is just about the most unappealing creature on television; To watch her GIVE BIRTH a SECOND time is really too much. I'd rather watch snakes give live birth, Temple of Doom style. It's too damn much. Enough of this already. She's repugnant beyond words, but watching her in this context is downright cruel to the viewing audience (what's left of it, anyway.) Robyn's a psychologically sick woman, quite wretched on all accounts, and we shouldn't be subject to any more of her spawning sessions. Focus on the other freakin' wives!

    1. That bugs me too, as does hearing Christine ending words that end with a "G" and making it sound like a "K". When she says 'going' it sounds like 'goink' or doing sounds like doinK. It's so distracting.

I don't like to talk about the kids and so I won't name names, but Christine needs to be giving some serious attention to the speech issues her youngest daughter is demonstrating. I thought she's outgrow it, but it seems to be even more pronounced as she gets older. She's adorable and I hate the thought of her struggling with peers and in school if she still has the problem. I hope the Brown adults aren't too busy with their reality tv careers to give something like that the attention it deserves - heck, they almost let the child die, I hope they've learned their lesson about not being tuned into what's going on with their children!

As a nurse... that really bothered me. :/

    3. The broken clavicle with no medical attention was infuriating. I wonder how many times each of these kids has been medically neglected. Solomon had RSV and ALMOST had to go to the hospital? Truely almost died from kidney failure? Maddie-Failure to thrive? Didn't one of them get kicked off a horse and only go to a chiropractor? Dayton's eye? OMG TLC is just encouraging this family.

      Delete
    4. To be honest, the midwife was right; even in hospital births when a broken clavicle happens and they don't do anything but monitor the baby. I hope they scheduled a follow up appointment for the newborn with their pediatrician. Ah, I'm only fooling myself, if they ignored a listless Truely forever, they probably did nothing at all.

      Delete
    5. They still passed the baby around to what, 25 people or so???? the midwife may have been right, but in a hospital she would have been observed by a nursing staff and evaluated by a pediatrician on the spot. It infuriated me they they called the whole family over to pass her around knowing she a birth injury, that was the priority for filming, "the family" all being ok with a new child.

      Delete
    6. Yeah, that was another upsetting moment. There was a brand new baby who came out blue (despite what they said), and with a broken clavicle who was immediate passed around and help by a group of small children who touched her face! I am very concerned about the safety of theservice children when the cameras are rolling. We have seen a girl thrown from a horse be taken to a chiropractic, a small child almost die or dehydration after days of crying non stop in the worried hands of tennagers, an autistic child encouraged to ride an ATV weeks after having surgery to attempt to repair his eye after injuries caused by an ATV accident, an infant with RSV not go to the hospital, and now a failure to thrive baby not being given formula because of the stubborn belief that breastfeeding is more important than gaining weight for SIX months (which came off like it was a weird competition since Meri had Sooo much milk and it was "all cream," yuck).

    8. Excellent point Labbie lover , there has been so many medical situations that were down right neglect. Didn't realize how many until you made the list. Are all these episodes due to lack of medical coverage after going off welfare/Medicaid TLC paycheck since all those single moms no longer qualify as low income. But that still doesn't account for all the neglect and lack of common sense.
Who passes a new born after a difficult birth with a broken bone around to adults and children to squeeze 25 times ??? These people are ridiculous.

    9. I forgot Sol needed "extensive" oral surgery at two or three years old. This may have been due to a congenital problem (in which case good for them for taking care of him!) but more likely from dental neglect.

    10. I also forgot Ysabel's seemingly untreated migraines. Didn't Christine (or maybe it was Robyn) say sat she was treating them by speaking softly around her?

  17. How many times will Robyn insist that Hunter is so excited about the new baby, after revising the history of the birth of King Sol?

  18. Kody said Robyn learned to be "lady-like" while giving birth and not talk about pain or "complain." I really hate this guy.

    1. Creeped out here, yes, indeed......!!!

And..... the mother/stepmother (?) has the camera poised right down at Sobbin's crotch to catch close-ups. These people are unbelievable.

Also think having a four year old watch the cord being cut was over the top.
But then again the whole family (and TLC) was obviously expected to be present for the "cord cutting" ceremony officiated by that renown Placenta Expert, Kody Brown.

Let's just hope that officiating at his daughters their weddings the extent of Kody being involved in their personal lives. Will he want to be in on the births too like Sobbin's dad ??

      Delete
    2. Kody officiating reminds me of the Duggar Dad getting in on that first kiss crap durng his daughter's weddings. These TLC dad's can't STAND to be quiet and let someone else have their moment. They have to be the shining star.

    3. Liz,
I think you are on to something. There must be a specific casting call for arrogant, over-involved, control-freak "dads" over at TLC.

      Delete
    4. I think it is their form of religion that puts men above women that also creates this issue. The Gothard religion and FLDS all make the men almost godly and the women subservient.

    5. Amused: "There must be a specific casting call for arrogant, over-involved, control-freak "dads" over at TLC."

Yeah, that whole Jon Gosselin thing didn't work out, so they did a 180 and went in an entirely new direction. LOL ;-)

    6. Her step-dad being there for the birth skeeves me out every time. Not to mention he's not only present, but appears to be positioned so that he has a bird's eye view of...yeah, so skeevey. I've been in the delivery room for a lot of baby birthing with my closest friends and family, and never once were any of the dads of the mothers-to-be in the room when the babies were actually being born...

    7. I thought the same thing! And this is her STEP dad. Something isn't right there.
Although I could see Kody front and center when Robyn's girls give birth but for some reason can't picture it with his biological daughters. There is some strange pseudo sexual weirdness that has come full circle.

    10. I tuned into this week's episode late. When I switched the channel, Robyn's step father and mother were seated front row center at Robyn's vagina. I agree with the comments above. Single creepiest "reality" scene I have ever watched on television. And that's saying a lot considering how often I watched Jersey Shore.

I couldn't comprehend what I was watching. Mom was at least taking photos, but Stepdad was just staring. Intensely staring. Robyn's daughters and her sisterwives weren't permitted in the room though, but her leering stepfather was?? What kind of father wants to see his adult daughter's vagina...and in the presence of her husband? The Brown's truly have a bizarre family culture. I will continue to count my blessings that I was not born into polygamy.

      Delete
    3. I don't like giving robin the benefit of the doubt, but maybe she wanted to go to the hospital and that was her way of tiptoeing around whatever deal Kody made with TLC? She's never been direct in camera and might have used 'concern' and 'doom' to perk Kody's televised empathy/chivalry?
I didn't watch yet so I can't say, but if I were her age popping out another baby I'd want drugs. Lots of them.

      Delete
    4. She appeared frail and very "winded" to me. When she complained of the strange pain in the upper abdominal area they should have asked her to elaborate...not make her seem silly by telling her all births are different. This is her 5th kid and she is always pretty damn calm about it. I have heard some of these "midwives" will bully mom's into not going to the hospital because of c-section. Well sometimes you need a,c-section, even if you don't want one.

    5. Robyn has her babies at home because there is no health insurance. Period.

      Delete
    6. She can just rip off the hospital like she did with Dayton. Nobody will refuse her. She's up for bankruptcy pretty soon. or... She could have signed up for Obamacare a month before giving birth and then cancel it.

      Delete
    7. Liz, I agree, Robyn definitely had a harder time with this delivery - she looked exhausted when it was over - as she deserved to look and feel after what she'd just done, especially with Kody chiming in with his nonsense all of the time. If I were her, I'd have kicked him right in the you-know-what and told him to STHU.

Hey Kody - Robyn is pushing, not "we're pushing". Robyn is pregnant, not "we're pregnant". Robyn is giving birth, not "we're giving birth". His need to be the center of attention and the star of their shi* show is so off-putting and unattractive.

      Delete
    8. She was so nasty about how it's unnecessary to go to the hospital and "a woman was made to push out a baby" I'm glad it is obviously not all rainbows and unicorns for each experience now. Very duggar like. Not to mention shaming your sister wife who just had a baby in a hospital.

Who cares if your husbands kid from a different relationship who is an adult is excited about your baby? It's not like he lives with a month out of the year. His kids never lived with her. She really isn't a step mom.

      Delete
    9. She said she would be "probably more stressed out," if she had to go to the hospital. I was definitely more stressed out when I developed extremely severe preeclampsia with my third baby and had to go to the hospital for an emergency c-section followed by several days in the emergency post-partum wing. Definitely better than is both dying at home, though. Her thinly veiled hospital birth shaming really rubs me the wrong way. She is lucky that she has been able to have pregnancies and births with no complications (up until now).

      Delete
    10. I am not a mother, so I hesitate to comment on home birthing. All I can say is that as a woman of 42, there is no way in hell I would have a baby at home without a medical doctor present. Too many risk factors involved in my opinion.

      Delete
  22. In the "special interview" during "Single Dad Speaking, all the Browns are wearing the same outfits and hairstyles as their season promotion picture (with Kody's wind-blown hair).

I didn't really listen, but the conversation was how adapting to the new child was going - and Christine blathered. The TLC crew must tape the Browns for a consolidated timeframe and cut and paste a season out of it - just to get it over with - and then slap these promotions together.

    ReplyDelete
  23. So, Kody doesn't know why Robyn isn't as emotionally needy anymore? Geez! Wonder why. Maybe because she is legal?!

Also, just like I predicted, no kissing anyone else this time. Hope someone calls him out on that.

Robyn really is showing her true colors now isn't she? With everyone!

Christine and Robyn seem closer. It's obvious Meri no longer has that connection with Robyn. She couldn't even pretend to be happy about Christine and Robyn bonding when Janelle mentioned it. She had to ask Christine about Robyn's whereabouts vs. In previous seasons where she was the Robyn know all.

After this difficult birth, it wouldn't surprise me if Robyn refuses to have any more
    Kids.

If she wants any time/attention from Kody, she is to snuggle up to Sobbin, BFF-style......and make damn sure it looks convincing for the camera.
No wonder she was so winded and tripping over her words in the decorating of Aspyn's room plot with Sobbin.

      Delete
    2. Christine and Robyn are BFFs - it just took time to build trust, says Christine. Nevermind Kody's mandate in Texas: Honor my family, and I'll consider tolerating you... Contrast with Meri and Jangle, who are still in therapy to work on their relationship, although Christine doesn't ask what they're talking about. (In a parallel couch scene, Jangle, the smart one, says that the multitude and complexity of ever-changing relationships in plural marriage boggle her mind.)
      2. Christine and Robyn decorate Aspyn's new room. Christine brings all the decorations and tells Robyn to just do what she says and place the decorations everywhere. It's a smashing success. Contrast to Jangle's and Meri's Thanksgiving centerpiece scenes last week. Jangle gets another talking head here, saying that Christine and Robyn bond because they both have young kids. (Jangle "validates.") In that, Jangle concedes her own role in the first round of childbirths.

The theme is that Robyn is everything to everyone and the best thing that ever happened to the family, and this birth saves the family yet again.

    3. Christine appears to be a hot mess. She is looking physically better this season, she's perkier but all she is doing is trying to please everyone but herself. So many years of abuse from the nachos to Texas and countless other incidents we are not privy to have left her without any sense of identity or self worth and Kody courting Robyn while she needed his support during her pregnancy, birth and care of Truely- I hope she can crawl out of this hole and find a man who won't slam her down every chance he gets. Regardless of the polygamy aspect of the relationship, which imo lends itself to all kinds of abuse, it's so obvious she is fighting a losing battle for Kody's affection.

    4. Christine is Robyn's latest puppet. The sociopath always needs someone to manipulate. Christine will spill her heart and Robyn will tell Kody everything and make things up on top of that to alienate her.

When she calls Sol Solmon, without the L I go crazy. The adult kids sure don't have proper table manners either. They hold their forks like shovels and shove the food in their mouths.

Five parents and 18 kids and they have nothing to film or at least play a little drama other than Meri and Mariah having their boring little chat. Maybe next week will be better.

The filming storyline dynamic is off. I think My Five Wives focused on each wife individually so you could experience the arch of their storyline. It hurts sometimes to watch and I absolutely love the show and want it to continue, but it's just so scattered. I've said this before, but I wish we could just see them leave their houses and do regular stuff! What's up with that?

Yet, they don't acknowledge that Sheryl is Kody's mother's sister wife... and therefore, his mother. They're hiding the family wreath!

  33. This family is so enmeshed! None of the wives (except Robyn) have any boundaries, and Kody gets to permeate the psyches of all of them, wreaking his narcissistic havoc. They’re so mentally abused and stunted! Case in point, they act like all of their mental/emotional issues are merely personal things to overcome, without changing any of the outside causes of those mental issues. The only way to do that, ladies, is to lobotomize yourself, so that you have no genuine thoughts or feelings left. (Oh wait, that’s what’s happened already.) And I love how they defend polygamy like it was an orphaned kitten; None of their neuroticism (or Robyn’s psychoticism,) stem from the destructive lifestyle of polygamy, right? Of course all the women (except Robyn) have self-worth issues! They're told that 1 woman is not enough for 1 man. A MAN needs women - many women. That's the only way value equals value. A bunch of women equal 1 man. What rubbish.

And NO, dear polygamist women, we monogamous women do not have regular jealousy issues. That’s because we are not sharing our husbands. Repeat: we do not share our husbands, our husbands are not dipping their noodles into various and sundry other women. (And if they did, their sorry bums would be kicked to the curb!) This is called self-respect. Monogamy, in a nutshell, is about 1 man equaling 1 woman. And no, sister, my husband is not my ticket to heaven. Sorry if I’m not dumb enough to buy that load.

Oh, and Robyn, you need a team of psycho-specialists to study you, honey. You’re screwed up in ways only Charles Manson himself could understand.

^^^1000X This!!! EVERY time one of the wives (usually Christine or Robyn) is on screen talking about how we lowly monogamous folk can't comprehend the joy that is sisterwifehood(?) because we're doing it all on our own... I'm pretty much yelling what you said at the TV. No, the rest of us lean on friends and family for help and get to keep our husbands to ourselves. As 35+ year old women, I can't believe none of them seem to have figured this out yet.

In my opinion, Meri can't figure out her "place in the family" because she feels like she's failed it by only having one child. Birthing babies was her sole purpose in polygamy, so now what? It's painful to watch.

But he doesn't have to choose just one. With the older kids gradually moving out, they could double up 2 wives to a house.

Considering how "close" she claims to be with all the kids, wouldn't it have made sense for Aspyn to move in there if she wanted to live away from her own mom?

Yes, they are part of the family now, but when recounting the family history, why include them. They became part of the family when Robyn married into the family, regardless of how Robyn and Kody feel they should have been sired by him.

      Delete
    4. The only time the state would look at your birth certificate is if your parents have applied for welfare. If your mom applied for welfare they want to see who your daddy is so they can send him a bill. Which tells me they were probably getting public assistance at some point. Even though they don't like to admit it LOL

      Delete
    5. States only need birth certificates when applying for cash grants (TANF). Even if no dad is listed, TANF applicants and recipients are required to continue to provide possible father's for child support collection purposes. There is a lot of misinformation about benefits in the general public, however, so I can imagine a lot of polygamist mother's not listing a father out of fear. That said, Christine did commit SNAP fraud (most likely) because all adults who share children who live in the same home have to have their incomes's included. Based on her bankruptcy paperwork, Christine presented herself as a single mother with no income and a Tennant of Kody and Meri which is in violation of SNAP policy.

And last night's epp just drives home that reality once again.

His talking head spots are every narcissist's dream !!
You can see it in his shark eyes when he does them....he is visibly excited and thrilled to his core.
No matter what the topic, Kody can and will milk it for his own edification.
If anyone took the time (and why would anyone) to measure Kody's THs against any other footage that has been aired, I would bet that Kody's solo time on camera would be the winner across the board.

My natural hair color is a dark brown, almost black, and I think when I get married, I would want my natural hair color, not my ombre half blonde/half brown look. lol But, to each their own. As for Logan, I dont think she should run for the hills. I think he's a very independent thinker, away from his parents. I think he has a good head on his shoulders. You shouldn't have to get married after knowing somebody for 9 months. He's taking the natural progression of a relationship. But I can see if I were his girlfriend, there might be a fear of him becoming a polygamist. I think it's a genuine fear. I dont see him going that route tho.

    1. I think they've known each other for more than 9 months (according to an Instagram or Twitter post I saw.. Can't remember which), she was saying that they knew each other for a year or two before they started dating.

Completely agree though- 9 months of dating is not (in my opinion) long and they are right to wait before getting married (although if that scene was filmed back in January, they've been together about 14 or 15 months now).

They both seem to have a good head on their shoulders- she is in graduate school and he is finishing his undergraduate. I don't see any problem with them living together before marriage- hopefully will help them decide if they are compatible on a daily living level. Just my opinion, though.

    2. I agree. They seem to be level headed, enjoying each others company. I dont think anything is wrong with living together before marriage, but I understand families wanting to see marriage in their future. But 9 months is a little too early in my opinion. I was surprised at how happy Janelle was at seeing Maddie get engaged. But I have to remember that in their culture, getting "married" and having babies young is nothing new. Im always amazed at how their kids know so much about pregnancy and babies. Especially Aurora, Breanna and also Truely have surprised me at how they understand what it means to be pregnant and that a baby will appear in 9 months.

    3. Although not fair to Logan (or other Brown children) MrSpock can understand why a potential mate of a Brown child might want to "run for the hills." This is because it would be hard not to become enmeshed with the Browns as whole and their ties to polygamy. MrSpock would not want that for MrSpock's progeny. However, if the non-Brown spouse doesn't care, well, that is their choice. Nevertheless, MrSpock surmises that some parents would be upset if their children got serious about a Brown child, fearing they might get drawn into that cult in the future.

As an aside, MrSpock is probably in the minority here, but MrSpock never supports living together before marriage.

    8. In an early season, Logan said something like he didn't have a calling for polygamy, and Kody chimed in that it was early. In a later season, when they first moved to Las Vegas or in an older Brown kids episode, Logan veered a little more toward not going into polygamy. In a recent tell-nothing, I think he finally answered no.

I agree with happagirl & others - Logan and the girlfriend may be together for a year or so, but they don't need to discuss marriage. They may already be spending nights together or living together outside of the show. I think Logan's housemates has a similar arrangement.

I found it odd that the Browns are including the girlfriend on their trip to Hawaii. But, then TLC is footing the bill. Also, the girlfriend has a very similar look to a lot of the Brown women.

And Robchin had to bring her down to earth and remind her that she did not bring as many spirit babies in as expected. Translation...you are flawed, broken, less than, the punishment just keeps on coming after the CF mistake. If I were Meri I'd leave this bunch and seek bliss as a mature woman. Then, she should have reminded Robyn that Kody attributed an ick-factor to her because of her Jessop children, stolen purity or not. To finish, she should have laughed and noted that she still got the 5 bedrooms and the wetbar.

Surprising that TLC chose to run that bogus of bogus scenes with Sobbin in all her post-partum Madonna-esque reclining, fresh from labor and delivery, offering to lend her uterus to poor infertile Meri.
It was staged and ridiculous then and even more so seeing the rerun.
And loved seeing Kody again shooing everyone from the room including step-dad who seemed to want to stay for any additional views...because Sobbin wanted a *private* chat with Meri. Kody indeed cleared the room, except of course for the cameraman who needed to be there for that *private chat. That scene will always vie for the top ten in the SW Hall of Shame for BS.

As for her comments Anon at 2:45 stated it perfectly. Her usual empathetic, caring inquiries were thinly veiled..." Ah m what's it like sitting here hearing us all talk about kids being born and reminiscing ....looks like you're struggling....let me point out to our audience what a failure you are". I hate Robchin. Meri needs to get her groove back and start slinging that mean girl passive aggressive shade. I mean all we ever hear is that she says it like it is, she confronts head on and that she's to aggressive and blunt. But I don't see it. 48. Dear Meri,

It's taken me awhile to process all of the information about your catfish incident and the subsequent fall out with your family. Please forgive my presumption as I offer a bit of advice about how you can begin to rebuild those broken lines of communication with Kody, your sister wives, and your daughter.

First, you need to admit that you were looking for romance/love/affection outside your marriage. The photos and voicemails all point to an intention to become romantically involved. The catfish' gender and the fact that there is NO Sam Cooper is immaterial: in this situation, yours are the only actions that count. Whatever you needed but didn't get from your marriage, THAT's what you need to open up to Kody and the wives about. As the situation began to sour and you suspected that something was amiss--that was when you should have notified the family. I agree with Jangle, Christine, and Kody--fear isn't your M.).--unless you really had something to hide.

As for Mariah, leave the girl alone. If you have apologized and meant it, let her come to you in her time. She's said she's not ready--that should be enough for you for now. You hurt her, and the rest of the family, in ways you can't even imagine. And your refusal to speak truth about your motivations will just continue to fester till they erupt in some other way. If you are uncomfortable about the way you're treated by your family, remember that you broke a sacred trust. You deserve to be punished.

Over and over, Meri, you've said you love your amazing family. Now's the time to prove it. Be open and honest about your emotional needs, and the real reasons for getting involved in the catfish situation. Until you're ready to make a full disclosure, your family, especially your daughter, will simply wait to see what other damage you can do to their family. In the end, you can prove your love by breaking the one commandment of polygamy--practice honesty instead of continuing this charade of victimhood. Your Monogamous Friend

    1. What amazing family?

    2. No more apologizing to the family. Trying to flee was the sanest thing Meri has done. A more simple letter:RUN

    3. I really wish Meri wont prolong her "Im sorry" shtick. She feels remorseful, no need to say it everyday. I understand what she did wasnt right, but I cant blame her. People get lonely, and it cant be easy seeing your husband find love with another woman. Its almost impossible to be happy in their lifestyle.

    4. "Monogamous friend" writes to Meri, "you deserve to be punished." Really? She "broke a sacred trust?" As a legally divorced woman living in polygamist hell, we were hoping that she had realized that there was nothing "sacred"about it, and that she was about to hightail it out of Dodge.

    5. I get that she is unhappy. But she need to leave on her own...not because of a man. If Sam had been real everybody including her family knows she would have left with him.

She has two things that a lot of women trying to flee a bad marriage don't have: she has money to sustain herself, and she has a husband that really doesn't care if she leaves. I mean can you see Cody chasing her down? Of course not. He seems pretty unaffected by the whole thing. Mariah would give her a lot more respect if she would just walk away.

    6. Dear got2bdrc/Monogamist Friend,
Please forgive my presumption as I offer a little bit of advice:

Meri DOES need to admit she was looking for love outside of her SITUATION (it is NOT a legal marriage, in case you missed that) but that it was because she was not getting what she needed in that situation. She did try to communicate her frustrations to Kody, as we saw in many episodes, but he responded as a Neanderthal would, dismissing her natural jealousy as something she needed to work on rather than a very real problem stemming from polygamy. What she needs to admit to herself is that polygamy doesn't work for her and that Kody doesn't care, he only cares about Kody.

Meri does NOT deserve to be punished, what she deserves is what all of us do, the opportunity to recognize when any of our closely held beliefs prove to be untenable in the long run, and are not practical. These are beliefs she inherited from her birth family and now that she has lived it in the light of day in a modern society that offers her choices, she opted for one avenue of escape. It's unfortunate that it turned out to be another sick individual who sought to take advantage of her, but the avenue she was pursuing isn't uncommon for someone in a bad situation.

And Let's reiterate...she is NOT married, her ex husband has cheated on her from the start with multiple women, and has children with them. That activity is given the nice little name of "polygamy ". Any so-called "commandment" in such a system is cruel and misogynistic, so my advice to you is to not hold people to such "commandments" unless you'd be willing to live them yourself or agree with a system that denies women and children basic human rights and dignity.

She IS a victim, a victim of polygamy. And any hurt to her family is the result of that system, it did not originate from her, so stop condemning a person raised in and caught up in a cult. Her actions were an attempt to escape, It's too bad she not only didn't escape, but because of her inherited lack of discernment of abusive people and situations, she is still stuck.

If you can't see it is an abusive situation and think it's a "wonderful family", well, that's a different problem.

    7. Liz, Im on the same page with you. She's so remorseful, but also sad that things didnt pan out with Sam. But she needs to leave if she's not happy. Period. Her groveling for forgiveness might never work. I wish she would find a way to be happy internally. Not try to be happy for her daughter, or her sister wives. Kody is slow. I dont think he even knows how to feel, he's so wrapped in 3 other women's lives. If he really sat down and thought about his actions, and why Meri did what she did, he might actually feel bad about neglecting her for Robyn. Robyn is the common denominator in the women feeling "bad" about themselves. Well, maybe not Janelle. If I could nominate anybody for the Plyg life, it would be Janelle. She's the most fit for this lifestyle.

  49. That is some good advice! I hope she takes it.

  50. Because they are already running the tantalizing question of what is Meri's big announcement in the trailers ....???
Because we know from 7 years of bogus trailers that turn out to be nothing but someone's edited half sentence that goes nowhere, certainly not where the trailer is pointing it......
Because this is Kodyworld where keeping those show checks coming requires an "anything goes" game plan.......
1- Meri is officially going back to school......I know, shocker, right ?? School Again...right?!
2- Meri is going gung-ho on her "wine and paint" art and wants to sell it in the Junk Closet...that is once they get proper firewalls against hackers.
3- Meri is going to adopt a child or two.
4- Meri is forming a Anti-Catfish incentive and she will be the national spokesperson.
5- Meri is starting her own makeup company debuting her signature bronzer as the star item.
6- Kody re-proposed to Meri and the re-wedding will be filmed next season
7- Meri has offered to find wife # 5...since she knows the drill on all that.
    8- Meri has a girlfriend.

  51. I echo the previously mentioned annoyance at the use of "Mrs. Brown". Unless I've missed it, this is a new-to-this-season thing. If he used it with the other wives as well, (again, I might have missed it but I don't think I have), it wouldn't bother me as much. It just does come off as a a "legal wife" thing, and one he didn't appear to use when Meri was the legal wife.

I liked that Robyn's been showing more annoyance at Kody, it seems more genuine.

Also, why didn't Robyn share details about her own labor?

Finally, I loved that he basically admitted his crying is as fake as a three dollar bill.

    1. His use of "Mrs. Brown" multiple times and the tone with which he's used it makes my skin crawl.

But I do recall him saying it once when speaking about Christine. It was during a talking head scene when when Truley was in the hospital. But wasn't TO Christine nor endearing/special, like his tone has been lately with Robyn.

    2. He said it to Christine once when she dared to sit in *his* chair during a family meeting.

    3. It is very odd that he only refers to Robyn as "Mrs. Brown". Why remind everyone who the legal wife is if (according to them), the legal marriage isn't what really matters. It's so obvious that he only cares for the Robyn. I don't recall any scenes where he is with any of the other wives in their homes this season. In fact, has he been filmed alone with any of the wives except Robyn at all this season? It's either all of them on the couch, or Kody hanging out at Robyn's. It's no wonder that Christine has figured out the only way to get any face time with Kody is to be BFFs with Robyn.

  55. CJ, of course, I love reading your live blog and your roundups and reviews and all of that because you do the show much more justice than they do in their for real shit. Having said that...Could the narcissist been anymore narcissists? It is just sick....every body stop talking....I have an announcement....good grief....he is so obsessed with himself....And, you know, when they were doing the walk down memory lane about the births, Robyn was seething. So, Kody had to say and in the middle of all this, Robyn had her babies...but she wasn't with us yet....OMG...then there was Christine...that girl's got some serious mania going on. There's Jangle who's gained all that weight back and Meri...holy bats hit. It was one giant collage of everything and tagging that awful birth on...and really, when a baby is that large and has a broken clavicle, they don't pass that baby around and bounce it...one of the kids was bouncing it. I swear; we want everyone to wash their hands and change their shirts, but let Mariah sit there and blow in the baby's face...she was blowing on the baby's face. WTF.

  57. While on the couch, Christine mentioned about how soon there would be blonde grandkids visiting the cult-duh-sac, the only one not smiling was - Robin. Instead, the camera caught her in an instant of shock -- realizing that soon, her babies could be upstaged by the grandkids of the oldest Brown kids -- which would steal the show from her offspring claims to fame. Her micro-expressions were VERY telling.

    1. Agreed.... "Miss all about me" Robyn can't stand the thought of her children not being the adored ones. She's coached her daughters well to be front and center whenever there is a big Brown announcement. And they always over react in a way that is screaming for more camera time. Wonder how long til Robyn pimps out AURORABRIANADAYDON to get married and have babies for a spin off.

  58. OMG, Can someone please tell Kody to stop with his stupid comments. I sometimes feel sorry for this schmuck. Don't lock your knees because it will stop your blood from flowing to your brain? Don't breath out while in labour because you'll faint? This tops his stupidity about swapping hormones while kissing. Is anyone really this unintelligent? How did someone this dumb manage to get 4 women to marry him? I guess sitting cross-legged puts me at risk of cutting off circulation to my brain?

  59. Did anyone notice the huge pile of boxes in Janelle's front foyer? Who is moving? It was very odd. The timing would have been awhile after Maddie moved out and I don't think any of Janelle's other kids are moving right now.

    1. Logan could be in and out. Also Hunter. I'm sure he didn't bring everything when he first left for prep academy. Remember how Kody made janelle get another room in the McMansion for Logan who was away at school by then? He never moved back. Good for him. I also wonder if she has exended family live with her? Robyn does, Christine does. The family seems like they are constantly in transition. Is that why Sol hasn't moved upstairs? She has four full bedrooms upstairs and a loft.

  60. Has Meri and Kody filmed any scenes this season where they are alone together? Also I've seen Kody do couch interviews with just Robin, Christine, and Janelle this season but not alone with Meri. Do you think they spend any alone time together? It seems strange that after the catfish ing scandal you think the show would focus on their relationship and trying to rebuild it. Instead there is always another sister wife in the scene. Do you think Kody refuses to film alone with Meri?

  61. I could not take Kody narrating the birth. Why would anyone care what he thought of Robyn giving birth?

As much as Robyn isn't my favorite person, I would much rather hear her talk about it.

I also had a hard time hearing about Maddie not gaining weight as a baby. Hopefully, it was taken more seriously than they portrayed it. My daughter didn't put enough weight back on a week after birth and it was stressful and scary. We were waking her up every 2 hrs to nurse, doing weight checks with pediatrician every couple days, meeting with lactation consultant... After first couple weeks, she gained weight and was fine. I couldn't imagine dealing with that for 6 months.

  63. There's definitely more ways than one in which this episode can be described as creepy, horrid, repugnant, abusive to viewers....I could go on...but I feel emotionally scarred after watching this last episode. To date, the objectification of women, passive aggressive behavior between women, and child neglect have been ever present themes...no matter how repudiated by these posers. I think for the most part, sensible viewers can watch this and call it what it is...BS. Further, as a result of this facade, a healthy dialogue ensues on what I view is the inherent and abusive nature of these adults' "choices" in particular, krazy nut job psycho freaks like Kody. So I guess there's a silver lining to it all. But TLC, you took this to a new low tonight.

In no particular order, my most cringeworthy moments:
    1. If there's one way to piss off women (your target audience) have a egotistical maniac yell at a woman and boss her around during labor. Not to mention then try to educate other women about it via obnoxious TH segments. Strike One.
    2. The sick and twisted image of the pregnant RobynKody dance directly in front of their infamous car picture, complete with Robyn in high heels. The hypocrisy is what kills me. We have Whitesnake inspired photos on the wall, yet we preach modesty, "family values," etc...what a joke. If you have any question who this show is about, that pic sums it up. Strike Two.
    3. And finally, the cherry on top.... When Robyn spewed fluids all over the midwife. I mean, I've had three kids. And I'm fully aware it is not pretty, rather it's quite messy. But I didn't need that. I stopped eating my ice cream at that point. I. Was. Done. Ew. My eyes. My poor eyes. TLC, please edit your footage a little better than that. I get it happens, but I don't need to see it. Also, I will hereby refer to #4 as Robsquirt. Or I suppose little #18 could be known as Squirt.

I also had a couple of WTH Christine moments...
    1. I thought I was watching an episode of 19 kids, because apparently Christine took some hair style pointers from Michelle. To each her own... But it did make me do a double take...
    2. Did I spy a pic of pregnant Christine in her Wedding dress??? It was during the pregnancy/ baby montage, so I'm assuming that's what I saw? Wth?

One more thing, Kody needs to cut out the sports, athletic references and puns. I understand that he has an infatuation with all things manly to include guns and sports (insert sarcasm), but leave my beloved baseball/softball alone. What did America's favorite pastime ever do to you?
