I Scour the Internet: The Pre-GroundHog Day Edition for January 31st, 2016

Well, since my last edition, not much has been happening with our favorite polygamists, Kody and his Kodettes. Wait, let me clarify, nothing much has been happening on  TWITTER with the Kody Klan.

I suppose with the new little Princess occupying all of her Mommie and Daddy Dearest's time, the original three wives have been left on their own, to do whatever they please. Christine went back to her fainting couch, while Meri, most likely in response to the that ole' catfisher and her work of fiction/non-fiction (she seemed to be a bit confused in her Introduction) finally, FINALLY being published, and then promptly becoming available for free in all it's one hundred and fifty pages (that's 150 in case the ole' catfisher is reading this) "glory", Meri took to hiding out in her McMansion until it all blows over apparently.

Meri honey, never fear. It was a bunch of horribly written nothing. In the future, if someone asks you to take a selfie - whether dressed, or in the tub, or even eating a piece of fruit, please, please tell them to get a life and to shove their request where the sun don't shine, okay?

Isn't it ironic that "former" close family friend and rabid Robyn supporter JYD (that's My Living Room's loving nickname for her) found it necessary to tweet this? I suppose just ignoring the comments never crossed her mind, but for someone who has been all up in the Brown's stuff, including pictures with Robyn, appearing on the show, and maintaining Facebook groups on the topic of Sister Wives for the past five years or so, she leaves a lot of room calling another person obsessed and a loser, don't you agree?

C'mon, JYD. Be happy. You've hooked your wagon up with an obsessed catfisher, can't you be happy just to live and let live?

And did I mention the catfisher dedicated her one hundred fifty page pamphlet to JYD? Yep, she sure did...

'Nuff said...

Meanwhile, back at the cul-de-sac, the current Mrs. Kody Brown decided to change her Twitter background AND her profile picture. I really don't see the connection between a laughing Mongolian child and her camel with filling one's mind with faith rather than worry, but oh well...See what happens when you have an aimless woman with a newborn and a SuperNanny to take care of her kids and lots of time on her hands?

Meanwhile, Mrs. Kody Brown also took the time to tweet this message to her followers. Hm....does it seem Missy Brown is trying a bit too hard to portray herself as Mother of the Year? You can bet her McMansion IS the happiest McMansion in the cul-de-sac, hands down! The Original Three Sister Wives got the marks of Robyn's highheels on their backs to prove it!

All hail the legal Mrs. Kody Brown and BOW down to her magnificence! NOW or risk her stink-eye!!

Let's take a look at some of Meri's tweets. Mind you, she hasn't tweeted since January 19th, but boy oh boy, these are some interesting tweets!

Remember when she used to tweet those sweet nothings to Kody on his birthday? How she called him "lover"? Well, now she's all business. No more of that silly sappiness. Kind of sad, isn't it?

Call me silly, but I suppose her Sister Wives don't qualify as a fun group of humans. They're SISTER WIVES, dammit!! Who can't stand to share the same kitchen let alone live in the same McMansion with each other!

I wonder if Meri took this picture when she ventured to Disneyland with the catfisher last year? Funny how it was Meri's last tweet for January...hmmm....

Back at Jangle's household, she's just keeping it real. Tweets about food, her new dog, and a quick trip to Hoover Dam to get away for a day. Hmmmmm.....I wonder why she needed to get away? Oh wait, King Kody and his Kween Robyn....'nuff said.

Who would've thunk Jangle's eldest son loves to swig some aged scotch? In a bedroom? Next to a bed? With his Girlfriend? And a bottle of scotch? While waiting to party?? Oh my!!!

ps...Logan honey, the party is usually found in your pants, know what I mean?

Well thank's all for now, and remember: I Scour the Internet, so YOU can party with Punxsutawney Phil on Tuesday!!

  1. Thx CJ for the latest Twitter news.

As usual, Sobbin is late to the party. That pic of the child and camel, although very cute, has been all over the web for years.
Nice to hear that Jangle deals with the stress and tedium of having nothing to do in between filming.
Or is "she" the wife hinted at in the tabloids? Is our Jangle scouting new digs for when she leaves Kodyworld? Ohhh, can we stand the suspense until we know which one it is.....!!??? Ha !!

    1. I'm almost positive Robyn's photo of the laughing kiddo and camel was BatFish's page background pre-scandal.
I think she might be needling her sisterwife in an easily deniable way...

Interior: the rose petal strewn chaise lounge in the entryway of Robyn Sullivan Jessop Sullivan Brown's McMansion...

Meri confronts Robyn and Robyn's delicately tired (but mascara laden) eyes instantly morph from serene joy over her current fertility (and success as legal wife) into hurt and SHOCK.
Robyn will cry and ask Meri, nay, the lord above, how anyone could think Robyn would be so cruel and calculating?
Doesn't Meri know how tired and weak Robyn is from gloriously giving near silent birth (barring a few pseudo sexual sounds that creep everyone except Kody out) at home, on camera, for the good of the family and Kody's future planet!?????
Doesn't Meri know how difficult it is raising FIVE children with only a husband, three sister wives, 12 built in child labor babysitters, one grandmother in law living next door, and only a handful of Jessop cousins living in the home as indentured servants/aupair?!
How outrageous and selfish could Meri be?
She acts like she can't even imagine a life with so many demands, full of biological children and a mostly monogamist husband... Oh. Wait.
Robyn will sniffle, rub goop from lids, and somehow tearfully apologize (with the world's driest eyes) for ACCIDENTALLY highlighting to Meri of how different their lives are.
She may even be extra magnanimous and remind Meri that if things ever improve with the family, and IF Kody can ever FORGIVE her for her shameful affair, that perhaps Robyn will selflessly offer to create and carry life for Meri again...like she did so kindly and GENEROUSLY before, mere moments after giving natural and unmedicated birth to the crown prince of the Browns.
So really, how could someone like Robyn ever have even known that that photo may have been associated with such a tawdry part of Meri's life? Such seedy things and base desires would never even occur to the legal, breeding, Madonna of the Brown clan. Never!
Meri will obviously feel overcome with guilt for even considering Robyn might have been making a passive aggressive statement and apologize profusely. She will declare Robyn to be her saving grace and true 'sister' before leaving, never again summoning the courage to confront 'the youngest sisterwife' or dare to look outside of her family for fulfillment.
She has her wet bar and her hobby room now, that is enough for her. It has to be.

      End scene.

  6. Making a prediction that TLC/ Browns are going to have a tough time selling their sham of a show in the upcoming season. They are out of gas for anything worthy of ratings.

The lack of fan hoopla for Sobbin's latest Kody-clone birth, even though decent folks certainly do wish only well-being for that baby, is a reality check that her birth and any future Kodyworld births are just not interesting except to them, and will not guarantee ratings.

Meri's online love affair with a she-man is yesterday's news.
Plus, the entire storyline is shrouded in typical TLC/Brown twists and turns. It has become just boring BS. Going forward, it's not even fun to snark at such a pathetic situation.
The catfisher is a monotonous, relentless psycho who will burn out eventually.
Meri is...well, still Meri. The only true fact that survives out of the whole mess is that the Browns are dysfunctional with a capital D.

Doubtful that anyone bought the weepy reconciliation of Mean Meri and Jangle-Janelle.
So let's hope that plot is done, never to be seen again. Because it was bogus.
Footage used as filler to round out the season.

And will people really care that Maddie, a reluctant plyg supporter now that she has matured, will be married? Of course, best wishes to her, but really...her wedding as a ratings winner???
TLC, you can't "Dugger-fy" this wedding. It won't work.

The only hook left is the one which TLC has liberally seeded and spread throughout the rag mags about an impending wife mutiny and desertion in the SW compound.
    Does anyone believe it ?? I don't.
As has been stated by other posters, there are far too may *real* reasons for it not to happen. Most importantly, these women are handcuffed to the TLC income.

However, TLC does have a well-known history of creating pseudo mystery blockbuster stories, and then dragging them out for an entire season before they unravel or are simply dropped. It is easy to see that in the new season we can expect THIS ONE to be yet another mind-numbing, badly acted, trailer-ed to death.. .faux plot.
Other than Kody trolling for #5 wife, in which case it would likely be Sobbin herself who would flee Kodydom, and with reality being the operative word here, this fictional premise of a wife or wives leaving him is TLC's lone ace in the hole.... and is at the very, very bottom of the SW ratings grabber barrel.

    1. I agree. This show could have ended four seasons ago. Nothing but manufactured drama left. And no one is interested in the Robyn and Kody show. One question, did I miss something? Why are people referring to Janelle as Jangle?

      Delete
    2. A gossip site mistakenly referred to Janelle as "Jangle" and did not correct the typo. CJ liked the new form of her name and said we would now refer to her as Jangle!

TLC is sadly mistaken if they think for the upcoming season they will attract viewers with their tired formula of babies and weddings. It might have worked with the Duggars and some of their other shows (thinking the BooBoo's parents having a commitment ceremony which looked a lot like a wedding or the Gosselin's renewing their vows) but those old hat tricks aren't going to work with this krew. I think even TLC has finally come to that realization and that's why there has been so many uncredited/no source stories being leaked to gossip sites that the wives are revolting or that Kody is looking for a 5th wife. TLC knows this ship is going down.

      Delete
    3. The only reason the Duggars are still on TLC is people like dirt. There are too many people for their not to be even more scandals and people like a train wreck. Like the Browns think the attention is to show the blessings of polygamy, the Duggars think the attention is to show the blessings of The Church of Duggar. They are living in la la land. Neither polygamy or the quirks of the Duggars particularly peculiar brand of Christianity is all that desirable.

      Delete
    4. Now that the LDS church doesn't want her and people could actually see her marry one person yes I think it's interesting. But we are too mad at them for the other shows they have on the air.

    5. I've been saying for years that they can't possibly keep this show going but they manage to prove me wrong over and over. I think the show is beyond boring and also depressing, but apparently there are some people out there who still enjoy this crap fest enough to keep it on the air.

I also agree that all TLC programming is junk and if I had cable, I wouldn't watch it in protest.

  8. I watched the show casually in the beginning. Found it mildly interesting as a glimpse into a different way of life between supposedly consenting adults. Or is that consenting supposed adults.

What I have learned over the seasons from this and similar shows is just how toxic polygamy is for the children unfortunate enough to be born into it, having to deal with the scraps of attention from a part time father and the tension between the women. And sadly for the women who think it is a good idea, that sharing your lifetime love with another woman or 3 and needing to learn to overcome (or stifle) natural jealousy and other unpleasant emotions somehow makes you a better person, for which you will be rewarded in some weird afterlife. If anyone in the Brown family actually believes that, or any of the supposed spiritual underpinnings of polygamy they have shown little interest in demonstrating it to the large audience they say they want to educate.

I am pleasantly surprised that the kids have turned out as well as they seem to have. Kids are resilient thank KodyGod and can survive a lot.

I now only care about the show because of this excellent blog. Will be sad to see it go only because I would miss coming here to enjoy the snark.

    1. "Or is that consenting supposed adults."
Excellent point, farthestnorth!! Spot on !!

Agree !!! Whatever the Browns *say* was their original motivation for doing the show, it downgraded almost immediately into showcasing what a terrible lifestyle polygamy really is.......for the women and for the children.
If getting easy money and McMansions was their ultimate goal, then they achieved it.

But along the way, they have shown the world the utter dark and unforgiving world for female Plygs, and the equally restricted world their children must also accept.

      Delete
    2. I sooo agree. This show has cured me of any broadminded ideas that polygamy can work. They have the best set up in the world. Plenty of income, brand new separate homes, F-list celeb status, cars, kids go to public schools & universities and they still can't show any positives about the lifestyle.

This is a show to gloss over the pitiful lives that so many women and children are destined to live and they still manage to show how dysfunctional it is.

  9. I read a comment on one site that fundie Mormon males can have drinking problems. This is interesting to me. As a Mormon coffee is a no no but alcohol abuse is okay .And is scotch the drink of choice for college age males?Hopefully there is not an alcohol problem brewing here because it would be sad for him and the evil gentile world would be blamed for leading the son of a decades long law breaking polygamists astray.

    1. Actually some fundie sects can drink because their churches branched off before mainstream Mormon prophets had revelations to stop drinking. This also includes coffee (caffeine). I know the Browns have said they don't drink (I think Christine does now) but they've been shown many times drinking caffeine/coffee. The scotch thing doesn't strike me as weird, Logan's girlfriend seems like a hobby drinker and I'm sure he has followed suit.

      Delete
    2. Just adding on my above above post: where I live there are tons of microbreweries, wineries, and distilleries so almost everyone around here is a hobby drinker. It's not uncommon to find early twenty-somethings drinking refined drinks and usually a wine and beer tour is one of the more inexpensive weekend options for fun. I'm 25 and don't drink but have many friends who love visiting wineries, breweries, and distilleries.

    4. Logan has been on camera stating that he doesn't feet the call to be religious at this time. Kody lamented that Logan wasn't at one of the Sunday services. I'd be willing to be that the last Sunday service that Logan attended at the Browns was the 'purity' one.

So, Logan isn't doing anything wrong in that picture as long as he is of legal drinking age. Now, he may be spiritual in his own way, but he's not a sinner for having a drink with a girl next to a bed.

  11. Addiction issues are not uncommon within the mainstream LDS church, and may be likewise in the more fringe communities. I remember reading somewhere the the state that has the highest rate of prescribed anti-depressant usage in Utah. According to the article (which I've looked for and can't relocate), standards of behavior are so high for practicing Mormons, especially women, that they become clinically depressed when they can't consistently meet the standards. 18. The latest tweet picture of Meri and Robyn's little boy demonstrates to the world just how differential the children of multiple wives are treated. On the one hand, there's Truly who seems to have her entire world wrapped up in her mom. Christine has admitted that no one helped her with her kids and she was bitter because she wanted the sister wives connection of an extended family filled with the other moms stepping in when she needed them. On the other hand, there's Sol, whose world is wherever he wants it to be. Meri seems to be supportive of Robyn and involved in Sol's life...he certainly seems at home in her house. I cannot wrap my mind around this difference of which children deserve the open door policy to Meri's home and which do not. Jango's little girl doesn't seem to be old enough for the pixie girls and she is probably still too old for Truly and will be until Truly is able to play games that are of interest to a child Jango's little girl's age. Plus, in the past, there was all these supportive roles that Christine played for Jango and Meri's kids...she was the at home mom and the kids all came to her after school...the younger children were home with her while Jango worked...so now the situation that was what the norm certainly seemed to be has deteroitated to four women, one husband, the four women's children, and the only link is the show...certainly not him. I didn't read the awful tell all that told nothing book, but I did skim through it but I am reading the chapter critiques so I am getting a pretty grasp on what little life Meri felt she had...if we are to believe Zero. What I have gathered from the show, the gossips sites, this blog, and what we hear during the couch sessions is that polygamy isn't good for women or children and the wives are all miserable and the kids grow up, for the most part, resenting the newest wives, the younger children, and the sperm donor. I have to make a comparison of what they live to what I live: I have one husband he one wife; we have been married forever; our children are grown and our grandchildren go on vacation with us, spend weeks during the summer with us, and try to spend every other weekend with us. BTW, I am a vegan and eating out is difficult but last night, DH and I decided to eat at the very expensive vegan restaurant here in our little college town. He wasn't distracted by other wives nor was I counting the minutes to make sure I got my fair time...we ate by candle light and for no apparent reason, before our dessert came, he gave me beautifully wrapped gift and I didn't have to have any kind of emotion either afraid the others might be jealous...hoping they might be jealous...or comparing it to what one of the others got....how can they live like that?

    1. Lovely piece about your dinner date, Run. Nice to read!

Adding that you (we) also never spend nights alone while you know that your husband *routinely* has sex with any one of his other wives....aka your besties in the harem.
The emotional part of that scenario is bad enough to imagine, but the ongoing physical hygiene aspect and potential "problems" is simply gaggy to visualize.

Sure, infidelity can and does happen in mono marriages, and it is traumatic and destructive.
However to willingly sign on for such a life......and proclaim it to be wonderful, fulfilling...!!!???

And what does it do to the kids' heads when they are old enough to know it, but not old enough to understand it, let alone accept it ??!!

    2. Thank you Run and Amused for your thoughts, I enjoyed your commentaries. When this show started, like many others on our blog, I tried to be open minded to a lifestyle different than my own. I think this show opened all of our eyes to the completely destructive lifestyle that is polygamy.

    3. Big Sky,
I agree. I really wanted it to work. Of course, Robyn always blames the editors for the way she comes across, but I would think the editors would want to show at least some of the positives of their life style. And, they are so seeped into it, they think it is fine and healthy because they think all monogamists men cheat so it's better to let the cheating go on in front of you...healthier. They cannot believe that there are relationships in which the man is faithful...they always refer to the lion and his pride of lionesses and I yell but the lion, when he takes over another pride, always kills all the babies of another lion so if you are going to compare humans to the animal kingdom, you must compare all the behaviors....no, humans shouldn't live like the lion or the guppies or kangaroos......These folks are very irrational when it comes to the logic for defending their lifestyle....all that crap about it making them better...HA! not likely....they don't help each other, they are jealous of each other, they are passive aggressive to each other and the other wives children....there are lists and lists of how this lifestyle damages women, children, and the family unit....but we all know what they are because the example TLC put before us has illustrated the damage loudly and clearly....for real.

      Delete
    4. Amused,
I feel so sorry for the children, just like I feel sorry for the Duggar kids. You cannot parent all those children and do a good job. The Duggars admit they abuse their children by blanket training them and the Browns live this life that denies their children of the basic right of all children--time. There are simply not enough hours in the day for those children to spend time with their parents: Kody is always up Robyn's butt and the wives are emotionally detached and we have seen it....good for Jangle for taking her little girl on a trip to Boulder Damn but how engaged was she or was she thinking about Kody and what Kody was doing? When our other half is absent in body or there in body but absent in mind, like Kody is so much of the time, we suffer. And you are totally right about the hygiene aspects and what can and probably has been passed from one woman to the other through their common sperm donor. When Robyn joined the group, her cold sores went from Kody to his other wives and now the small children have been seen with sores on their lips. Plus, you know....there are other gross things that can be passed and I doubt Ms I gotta wear VS cause I have long legs and arms came to the marriage bed with just one previous sex partner...she admitted about someone taking her purity and we all wondered who that someone was because she was so damaged by it...as if he had raped her but of course she admitted she left the cult...whoops the life style... I wonder how many polygamist women end up with the HPV virus and think it's something they just happened to catch...like the cold. And yeast infections and those awful fungus infections from just being with multiple partners....gross...you are right...they are sickly and probably don't even know it.

    5. Run and Big Sky,
After watching the entire series of Big Love and knowing it was a fictional production, I too came to SW with expectations of seeing the real time concept. I wanted to see if polygamy, however different, actually functioned as a way of life. I especially wanted to see the dynamic between the wives without paid actors and scripts telling the story.
What a naive expectation that turned out to be!

Instead, after years of watching the Browns, and realizing that acting and scripting was still driving the show, and even with a Hollywood production team in place, they couldn't sanitize the misery and dysfunction. Season after season, the obvious was just too blatant to miss.

And yes, the thought of one man having sex routinely with 4 women (or 5 or 8) sets up a dangerous scenario for all kinds of major and minor std's, as well as built-in psych problems for the women. How could it not??
Their canned opening lines for every epp about how "it's awesome, it's the way it should have been..blah, blah, etc, etc" is a sad mockery of what each epp and each season has shown.

Truth....I wasn't prepared to see the misery for the kids.
They touted their version of plyglife to be different/ progressive...to be nothing like the radical, sadistic version that we all saw in the news from the hardcore plyg groups.
True, their kids were fed and clothed and thanks to the TLC income, were soon living in McMansions with a definite middle-class vibe.
However, the kids are still deprived of normal, reliable mother/father interaction.
They grow up knowing and watching their mothers struggle with self-esteem and depression. They see their mothers have to use strategies (beg) for scraps of attention and validation from the man they call Dad !! They know that their mothers have to vie for position like horses in the start-up gate. They *see* how demeaning it is for their mothers.
And Run, you're right when you point out there is definitely a caste system where the favored wife and her children enjoy more time and attention from the sperm master.
That fact was proven beyond a doubt when TLC devoted the last two seasons' worth of footage to pumping Sobbin and her children, kids who are not even Kody's.
Meanwhile, his bio kids got to watch....

    6. In a sense Kody did "kill" the baby lions by adopting Robyn's kids. All the lioness and babies must be his. Still waiting for a blessing. Could have happened when truely was in hospital but nope, didn't see it. Could have seen a mom really pick up the slack when another worked but not since first season. We have seen teens mother and father and sometimes even yelled at for it. The only positive of the Brown's is the kids don't follow and they don't appear to disown them. And the kids don't bad mouth them either. Madison is perfect example.

  19. After reading bits and pieces of the Almost Meri'ed pamphlet and the hilarious book reviews that somebody put a link on here for, it really leaves me wondering. If even half of what's written, including Meri's admissions and the purported voicemails, and what we've seen on the show are true, then Kody must be absolutely livid and disgusted with Meri. Basically, his manhood has been besmirched, he's been badmouthed and worse, he's been cheated on with someone that doesn't even exist! Meri was so desperately looking for love in all the wrong places -- Twitter and the like because we all know that everything on the Internet is gospel -- that she was willing to throw it all away because what she was getting, or not getting from Kody, was sadly lacking. So he is just moving on, getting past this debacle, or is he seething and angry? I can't say I would blame him for feeling betrayed. The whole premise of their cult is built upon faith, love, harmony and family. He was burned, and badly.

    1. I agree with this thought process. It wouldn't surprise me if Meri is, in Kody's eyes, Our Lady of the Perpetual Doghouse.

  20. Mariah comes across as very strongly feminist and liberal now. I wonder how her patriarchal, right wing dad feels about that. Or is he still trying to convince the world that he sees women as people. Wow, I actually hurt my eyes rolling them so hard at the thought. Women? People? Has Kody heard of such a concept?

    1. What is the timeline for Meri being catfished and her divorce from Kodouche? Is there a relationship between the two events?

      Delete
    2. Yes there is a relationship, and Meri tearfully admitted that in her Tell All interview.

  22. So the catfisher tells this huge lie about going to the super bowl and how he helped this poor black man and how Lindz kicked a guy and made him fall and then as if she needed to get closer and closer to raising Meri's chances of going straight to an attorney, she responds to one of the commenters, who we now is really her, that yes Meri is having another affair with van lady love....now really, how in the hell can this psycho not realize how close she is coming to a huge slanderous lawsuit.

    1. How slanderous? He/she simply remarked that it was not a rumor. There is no defamation or damaging the good name and reputation of Meri because she doesn't have one. She admitted the affair, whether or the heart or body, so she's a self-admitted cheater. She's not married anyway, so at the most, she and the van guy are just having an affair. And although it's probably not true, most people don't even care. Just another day in the cult-de-sac.

    2. Anon 6:12 PM, while it's true there isn't an affair, Sam/Jackie made a claim that Meri is having an affair with the singer in VanLadyLove and while the technicalities of what is an affair and what isn't the fact that it made the confirmation as if fact is grounds for Meri to claim defamation of character and if that guy is married, he certainly could, if he chose to, bring a slander suit against it...or even if he isn't married, being tied, sexually, with a reality star of such D---- standing could hurt his reputation; therefore, he could bring a suit against it for those reasons.

    1. True that in reality it's not an affair, but in plygland where she thinks she married, it would be.

    3. If she is "pretending marriage" than she should be faithful , if she is just "faking" the plyg marriage for the tlc money than she is not doing a good job at all. So which is it? Meri the liar or Meri the cheater? I guess they are both the same thing.

    4. Nothing was actually going on.

If kody pretending to be married he is doing a lousy job.

Meri stopped being married when he started sleeping with Janelle. And he stopped being married in every sense when he and Meri divorced. They didn't marry spiritually after. None of the group is being real and honest about being married. It would be more honest if none of them claimed marriage in any legal form. And people would not care if none of them were listed married.

    5. Agreed mms, if these people would just stop saying it is a 5 way marriage. And that this system is better than any other.
If it were a guy with four baby mamas I wouldn't even care, not my choice or anymore palatable but it's just the whole big " look at us, we are so special show". And they may think they are above other socio-economical challenged groups but they are no better. They abuse the system and we all pay.

  24. Just for fun I did a Google News search for "Janelle Brown" and quite a few tabloid websites are saying that Jangle is leaving the show to focus on her career in real estate; supposedly she wants to form her own sub company with Mona and someone named Rebecca Brown. She has a "Team Brown Vegas" facebook that has some recent activity. One site says that Jangle has had enough of the epic drama surrounding the family, that Meri's catfishing incident, along with Kody's "more attentive relationship" with Robyn is taking a toll on her , and she's hoping to live independently again. I don't put a whole lot of stock in these tabloid rumor things, but in this case I hope it's true.

    1. "..and she's hoping to live independently again."

Hmmm....I am a bit thrown by that word.."Again"...!!
Has there been a time warp thingie and we all missed a whole chapter or two of Jangle's life??Question....When did she live *independently* in the last two plus decades??
Her oldest kid is in his early 20's. She is in her early 40's. She was married for 3 or more years to Meri's brother before joining Kodyworld. So when was she independent??

Surely these websites can't be referring to the very brief timeout Jangle staged living in a borrowed tepee on Kody's father's land along with her first few kids as an anti-Meri bullying and anti-Kody protest? They didn't mean that....or did they??

Also, does that mean that our Jangle has been squirreling away the capital to invest in her own Realtor company.
Hmm...Did she pay a secret solo visit to the venture capital folks??

      OR..................
Have the TLC PR/Marketing elves been very busy planting little story seeds wherever they can??? Little whispers wrapped up in question marks and "what ifs" to keep the fans holding their breath in anticipation of the new season.

Is it *Just More Brown BS* ??
      I'm thinking it is...!!!!!

    2. Isn't she already "living independently?" It's not like they all share a house like they did in Lehi, they really only share a husband. Or do they mean she is moving out of the cuddle-sac? Why would she give up that house? (Who would buy it if she sold it? Thinking location here...) Can't she "live independently" right where she is? If she wants to take it further, she can just tell Kody to skip her in the rotation and save herself the hassle of moving...

      Delete
    3. Amused, I agree, this could very well be TLC planting story seeds! But if there's any truth to these stories, I'm wondering if it's because Jangle sees the writing on the wall. The show won't last forever and the TLC money will be gone so she'd dang sure better have some means to support herself and her younger kids. Therefore......her own real estate company. Saying she wants to "live independently" sounds so much better than "what the hell am I going to do for money when this TLC gravy train is over?" She knows there's no way Kody will support them.

  25. Actually, Jangle took her kids and left Kody and the rest of the family several years ago, shortly after her 5th child, Gabriel was born. (The teepee thing was before she married Kody) It was discussed in their book and on several blogs and forums. Apparently she got an accounting degree (an associate's maybe?), had a job, bought a house and car. So I guess that's what the articles are referring to. So it's not all that farfetched to think she couldn't or wouldn't do it again. On the other hand, it could very well be more Brown BS!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yes, heard about Jangle leaving, but not for very long and of course, came back.

Another issue is how much in their book is fact, embellished fact or outright fiction ??
Six years of change-ups and rewrites have proven that one can never be sure.

  28. The whole "Jangle as genius" notion has always been far-fetched. But the idea that she could exist independently is not. The "work ethic" bar is low in this pack of grifters, but she has displayed one. That she actually followed through on the real estate thing doesn't surprise. (Whether she's successful remains to be seen.) But it's more than any of the others can claim. I hope she's at least socking away big portions of that income if not all of it. The rest of those losers deserve diddly-squat.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I agree- always rolled my eyes when it was said that a certain wife is "the smart one". When the bar is that low, it is easy to appear intelligent. If said wife was half as enterprising and active as she claims, she would be very successful and half the size she is.

  30. As bad as it is that Meri, TLC, The Browns, etc did not make an effort to take legal action against her catfish'er- it is obvious now why they didn't. The Brown's are as interesting as watching paint dry right now, and the only thing keeping them in the public's eye is the over the top fiction going on concurrently. However, it has become repetitive, over the top and boring for many. TLC and Sister Wives will ultimately lose viewers and fans for selling their soul to the Devil. They deserve to sink!
