I Scour the Internet: The Memorial Day, See Ya Later Duggars! Edition for May 24 2015



Funny story. A couple of nights ago my BFF called me, all breathless. "Is it true?" she asked. I gave her the good/bad news (depending on whether you're a hater or lover). She then said something that if I was walking I would have fallen right down on my ample posterior.

She asked me "How could something like that happen with all those wives around?"

I was shocked and puzzled. I gathered my thoughts, resisting the urge to take my telephone handset and bang it on the table while yelling "McFly! McFly!!"

Calmly I asked her,  "What do you mean?" "Well, aren't the Duggars the polygamists?" she asked.

"Ah...no, that's the DARGERS" I replied.

BFF had her first senior moment, and I was witness to it! Whoo Hoo!!!

So unless you've been spending time with Kody and his Kodettes© in their Kul-de-Sak, you've undoubtedly have heard about the latest scandal to rock the hallowed network halls of TLC.

Guess they are going to need to change the TLC group picture, AGAIN.

Yep, I have a feeling we can stick a fork in 19 Kids and Counting...they are DONE.

Oh, and one last thing...In case anyone was planning on going to this event sponsored by TLC, I have a sneaking suspicion the Duggars are going to be no-shows.



Alrighty then. So what's new with the Browns?


Well, besides birthdays, Meri either retweeting those inspirational tweet at an alarming rate (her followers must love her for cluttering up their timelines) or tweeting sweet, coy nothings that shouldn't ever see the light of day, nothing really. Business as usual in the old cul-de-sac.

But I have to say Meri's prolific tweeting to a male friend is getting a bit, uh... out of hand.

Far be it from me to participate in her rather immature (but somewhat entertaining) Twitter interchanges with a male "friend" who prefers to think of himself as a not ready for primetime semi-superhero aficionado of all things Meri Brown.  I think her followers are just as shocked as I am when reading them.

In my other living room, to protect the not yet a superhero FOM (friend of Meri), he's known simply as George Glass. You know, that George Glass from the Brady Bunch show. I simply call him The Joker. Like the Steve Miller Band song from years ago.



Either way, he appears to have quite the opinion about himself.

He recently warned his followers, all 37 of them:
"If you follow me because I'm friends with Meri you will be [blocked] immediately Lol"
Meri sure knows how to pick 'em, doesn't she? First Kody and now this joker. Sheesh!!

Getting back to a bonafide "reality star", Meri continues to inundate her followers with at least a hundred motivational memes a day...well it seems like hundreds.

Starting in this issue of I Scour the Internet, I've created a new outlet for Meri's motivational tweets and retweets. I'm calling it...

The Tao of the Former Legal Mrs. Kody Brown

Logan recently celebrated his 21st birthday.

First to tweet congrats was his bonus mom Meri:

And his biological mommy dearest, Janelle...


And of course, bonus mom Christine tweeted her congratulations, along with a cute picture when Logan was a young boy...





Robyn stopped whatever she was doing with Kody and tweeted out this congrats...Sounds like she forgave him for getting the heck out of the cul-de-sac as soon as he graduated high school...or she's sucking up to her new legal hubby...



Unfortunately, the best effort Daddy Dearest Kody could muster was to retweet his wives congrats...with the exception of...hold on to your chapeaus...the tweet of former legal wife Meri.

The next day was Kody's and his new legal Mrs's 5th spiritual wedding anniversary...

Of course, the Original Three tweeted out their sentiments:

Meri's, surprisingly enough, appeared to be civil...but is that a hint of snark I see in that second sentence?



And I do believe Robyn picked up on the umm...snark with this coy reply...



And goosestepping their way in solidarity were Janelle and Christine, who attached an oh so sweet picture of the happy couple along with her obviously restrained congratulations...





That's got to be an old picture. Kody's hair hasn't look that good in years!

I know this is a crazy thought, but ya'll don't think Kody and his new legal Mrs. will start celebrating two separate anniversaries each year? You know, one for their spiritual marriage and another for their legal marriage?

I wish I could say they are savvy enough to realize what a boneheaded idea that would be. But we ARE talking Kody Brown, so anything is possible with that King of the Boneheads.

I Scour the Internet: The Almost Post Cinco de Mayo and Pre Mother's Day Edition for May 5th, 2015


Goodness gracious, have the Browns  lost their direction with this divorce and remarriage or what?

I almost wish for the old days when the family (or a parental unit) would take a quick trip down to Disneyland for some R&R. Every single month. Or when Meri and Kody would leave town for their anniversary and you could always tell when it was anniversary time because Meri would flood her twitter feed with comments talking about her "Lover" this or "Lover" that.

I miss how Kody would begrudgingly throw Christine a few crumbs of attention by taking her to a dinner and a gondola ride, if she was lucky, on her birthday or anniversary. Or taking Janelle on a "business" trip to the boonies of Arizona for their anniversary.

Those days are now gone, it appears. At least for the present.

It seems the backlash from Kody's divorce and marriage to the New Mrs. Kody Brown in order to "legally restructure" his family was a bit more than the general viewing public could bear.

And now the Browns are in overdrive trying to rehabilitate their "image" that they are still a wonderful family, like the Duggars but without all that religious stuff to keep the separate parental units together.

Damage Control is a bitch.

Yep, it seems polygamy has taken another couple of steps backward, thanks to the Browns. It makes me wonder what they will do next, besides creating the New Mrs. Kody Brown's fanpage.

We can only hope it's not a Kody Brown fanpage. Please...

So what have the Browns been doing lately? Well, Christine's birthday was on April 18th. What was unusual was the uncharacteristic cheerfulness exhibited by Kody and his new bride Robyn.


Christine, if I were you, I'd throw away any food the New Mrs. Kody Brown prepared for you, especially if it was piece of fruit, like an apple.

That tweet has Robyn's fingerprints all over it. When has Kody EVER tweeted something so sickeningly sweet to Christine?

We are talking major damage control here!

What a difference a few years and a divorce can make. No more tweets calling Kody Lover, or teasing what flavor of ice cream would best describe their marriage. Meri's twitter silence was deafening.






Not one tweet in return from Meri. Love is strange, and so is divorcing your legal husband of 25 years because HE wanted to restructure HIS family, legally.

At least Robyn doesn't appear to hold any grudges against the Original Three Sister Wives....or does she?




And talking about grudges, looks like Robyn and Kody were invited to a swanky Celebrity Auction at an Art Gallery.



How nice of Kody to invite his followers to an event being held in an art gallery at Caesar's Palace. And Kody, autocorrect is your friend!

And how nice of Robyn to retweet Kody's tweet to her followers she hasn't blocked, including the Original Three Sister Wives in the cul-de-sac. Just in case they didn't see it the first time...

It must have been a shock when Kody realized no one inside was asking to take their picture. Luckily, outside the Art Gallery, Kody was able to coerce a passerby to take a picture for posterity (and twitter to prove he actually was there)


Kody doesn't look "dressed" for the occasion. From the pictures I saw, the men who attended were dressed casually, but had the good fashion sense to wear their shirts tucked into their pants, rather than hanging out. Like Mr. Robyn Brown...


At least it appears Kody must have picked up a new "fan" as well as a painting. Let's hope Robyn refrains from going all #blockingspree on them in the future!





Back to Meri. Her tweet timeline was suspiciously missing any mention of her aniversary, so uncharacteristic from her old habit of calling Kody "Lover" over and over and over, again.

Then, out of the blue there's this tweet, made on the same day Kody tweeted what he and the new Mrs. would be doing that following Saturday at Caesar's Palace....



And she showed her followers how she is a bonafide college student, by tweeting a picture of her UNLV Student ID...



She also took time out of HER busy day to tweet about a bonus kid, in this case Mykelti, unlike a particular sister wife who shall remain nameless but is the new legal Mrs. Kody Brown...



and this interesting tweet about human behavior...


Yesterday, Meri took yet another stumble. Call me silly, but this doesn't sound normal...




Not to mention her continuing insomnia problem...





We get it Meri. You are tweeting this stuff to generate interest in your reality show. Enough already. We promise we will watch the next season, we promise!

Janelle had a lot to celebrate...Two of her boys went to their High School Prom....




And she painted Las Vegas Red with her booking agent the night before Kody and Robyn's Art Gallery appearance...



Just last Sunday, the family surprised her with an early Birthday Party...Hey, you don't think her party was filmed for the show do you?



And last but not least, Robyn's MSWC, expertly managed by her CEO hubby, recently notified their FB fans that an interested third party actually had the guts to review some of their "products". But I wonder why they didn't send the expensive stuff? Read all about it...

All I got to say is, I don't need to be sent "free" product in order to voice my opinion. The t-shirt looks like a child got a hold of a Sharpie and went to town. The ring is weird looking and was on sale in the bargain basement of MSWC. And I'm not 15, so I really don't want or need a plastic pastel colored watch. I  asked a friend's daughter about a plastic MSWC watch and she doesn't want one either. She doesn't wear a watch she says. She looks at her phone for the time.

I Scour the Internet: The Tax Day Edition April 15, 2015





I'm trying to decide which is worse: Reading Robyn "The New Mrs. Kody" Brown's fanpage or paying taxes.

Paying taxes. Hands down.






So what have the Brown's been up to so far this April?

Well, let's take a look, shall we?


First of all, another High School Teen Brown is graduating and has been accepted to attend the US Air Force Academy!

Excellent Job, Hunter!!!

In late March, Daddy dearest deflected a tweet if Hunter had made a college decision yet...that sneaky devil...

UNDECIDED???

But then Hunter must have gotten his Official Notification and he triumphantly took to Twitter to announce it!

His proud Mama tweeted off this congratulation...

And even bonus mom Meri tweeted off her congratulation....


Kody took the lazy way out and just retweeted Janelle's congratulations. And Robyn...

Well, Robyn didn't say one word. Nothing...Nada...

When approached on her fanpage, she gave this explanation...



Let's think about this. All four families live within spitting distance of each other. Supposedly they are in touch with each other daily...at least that's what they want their fans and followers to believe.   Robyn simply didn't get the "memo" it was OK to tweet about Hunter's appointment to the Academy and was too busy to ask.

Guess they aren't as communicative and "close" as the TV show wants us to believe.

But notice how she includes that the other wives "...don't announce everything [about] my kids either..." prefaced with the words "...you need to know..." No Robyn, we the audience only need to pay taxes and die. That's all we need, thank you.

So there lies the true reason for her silence: the other wives don't announce everything about her kids. Wow... And she wonders why she has an image problem.


Since I'm talking about the Newest Mrs. Kody Brown, this is as good a place as any  (besides the Recycle Bin on my Desktop) for the following postings from her fanpage.

Unfortunately we've heard this all before. And being a "public" figure, one would think she would be careful of the friends she keeps...you know those old sayings "with friends like that who needs enemies," and "guilt by association,"  know what I mean? I think it's time she takes a hard look at what her friend is posting because it is not a pretty sight.

She won't have to wonder why she has an image problem. She will know.


At least her next posting does put to rest a nasty rumor that she (and/or her ex-husband) had a drinking problem.

While I am on here I should probably clear up another rumor. I was the one who added the NO drinking, NO rated R or...

If you want a good laugh, read through the comments where a "certain group of commenters" starts clashing with another group over who is right or wrong.

I don't know about you, but I'm ready to depart the hell known as Robyn's fanpage. One moment please while I click my heels and murmer "there's no place like Twitter...there's no place like Twitter..."

Janelle showed her followers that she may not be the brightest of the sister wives with this political faux pas...


Poor Janelle must have been sleeping during her American History and American Government classes. Some names quickly comes to mind: John Adams and John Quincy Adams, William H Harrison and Benjamin Harrison, Theodore Roosevelt and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush.

Thank goodness the reporter from the New York Times who wrote a story about the Browns last year politely reminded Janelle she might want to rethink her tweet...or at least explain what the heck she was talking about...

Really? Hmmmmm.....Maybe going to Twitter wasn't so good an idea after all...

But wait, there were birthdays this month. Here are some tweets!
