ReplyDeleteYou're ok, her announcement is in two weeks after the new year. Yep, they will run that same commercial at every break for uh, I don't even want to count. Good reason to not watch that channel at all.
DeleteFor some really lame reason, they did a THREE hour show of wedding clips! I didn't watch but, really, a clip show about Maddie's wedding that only aired a week ago.
My DVR recorded the 3 hour Sister Wives show about "Wedded Bliss" or something like that. It started with Kody and Robin's wedding. I have watched this show since the beginning but after all these years, it was ASTONISHING to see them happy, young and very joyful (genuine smiles, laughing). It is remarkable. Meri especially was likable!!! It's worth your while. Prepare to be shocked.

When will Janelle lose weight? She has Strive but still appears to be obese. I don't see how she's going to make money off of that if she is still overweight.
Is Christine done having babies? Is Truely her last child?
Will Kody get a new breeding mare any time soon? Or will Robyn be the only one pushing out babies for him?

ReplyDeleteI tuned into the crap-tastic mess that was Sister Wives last night. It turned out to be just the thing to help me fall asleep. So Boring!! I did re-discover that Robyn was indeed pure evil and a selfish bitch from the start(I know,I know...we already knew that) but watching with knowledge of what happens..It is clear that she was the downfall of this bizarre family. Remember when the older kids all hated her? They were right! She was glaring when they talked about how Truely was running around during the commitment ceremony..they found it cute. She clearly did not! She really is the WORST! And Kody practically salivating as his "wedding" to thin but ugly Robyn got closer. Just gross. Made me nauseated. Then I nodded off. Stupid throwaway episode...more so than normal.
Is there any way we can get rid of the naked tweet under the #sisterwives section? It's also in the prior discussion, and not what I expect to see in the living room. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if CJ can since it comes via twitter. I went to twitter under that hashtag and there are other pornish images. I reported them and then blocked the senders from me seeing them. CJ: maybe you can do the same here?

ARRRRGHHH!!!! I tried to create a twitter widget to not show photos...didn't work. I tried to see if there was something to block or least not show pornographic images...nothing there. I noticed these tweets are being retreated, so I wonder if that's how they are getting around the filters? At any rate, until twitter can do something I've taken down the #sisterwives feed until further notice. Which is a shame because 99% of the more entertaining tweets come from viewers and not the Sister Wives krew.

DeleteWhew!! I was able to "block" the more egregious tweets, but there's one picture that's being retweeted over and over by different accounts. At least it's not as nasty as the last one, but I will monitor more closely and either add another filter or delete the feed if necessary.

ReplyDeleteGoing back to Maddie's wedding, I feel sorry for this couple. In the event their marriage survives the 1st-marriage odds of 50/50 (and that's with a conventional in-law set-up), they will be stuck with the video of this odd debacle starring KB. QUESTION--By what authority can KB officiate at a wedding? He is not an officer of the court, an ordained clergy person, former president, boat captain, notary (in some states), etc.

There are a lot of churches that ordain online (Univeral Life Church comes to mind). Most are free too- you just enter your name and click print... don't even have to walk as far as the mailbox ;)

It's just so obvious how miserable those women are when you watch the show at the time period of Robyn's wedding. The family dynamic was very different then vs. now.

I thought the same thing. I found them charming (ladies). From day one I thought Kody was ADHD and couldn't concentrate on one life script. He was so hyperactive and goofy.

ReplyDeleteMariah's "life changing announcement" as it was promoted, is that she will no longer be following the Mormon faith. Hence why Robyn looks shocked and Christine's mom looks thrilled.
DeleteMariah hasn't been following the Mormon faith for years, have you never seen her twitter account? Her family all know that she is not Fundamentalist or Mainstream Mormon so that is definitely not her announcement.
DeleteI read elsewhere that Mariah tweeted or posted something about flying to London. Logan has also posted on social media about traveling to Europe. Most likely that is her big news. Once again spoiled through real time posts on social medias.

DeleteConsidering most of her tweets since the summer are about "feeling the Bern," swearing, Pride support and then being a "Nasty Woman" like Hillary, who knows. Doesn't sound like she's going on a mission. She is in her last year of college so likely a grad school announcement but that would seem off schedule and she didn't tweet about that.
I'll put my money down that it's much ado about nothing.
Just looking at the tweets and saw the few that are reporting a Robyn and Kody split. These stories are on the lowest and probably least read of the Tabloids. Obviously, put there to drum up ratings. Ho Hum!

ReplyDelete1- Wow, either being on TV for 8 years is a guaranteed script for premature aging, or we are seeing *exactly* what wedded bliss, Plyg style, does to the women !! Especially when after almost 2 decades of "the bliss" times 3, a new harem babe was added for their premiere year of the show we got to see just how blissfully it was for the original three.

Sobbin may have been younger and more svelte than the OT (original three) but she was rocking that witchy poo profile even back then. Sorry, but that's the truth. TLC hadn't made efforts to avid profile angles yet back then.
Meri looked so much younger, fresher, happier.
Christine was post-partum, but still had a spark of energy.
Janelle..well, what can be said..detached and just tolerating it all.
2- Meri adjusting Kody's tie for his wedding to Sobbin and telling the camera that "she wished it was *her* night"...with Mariah in the doorway was just plain skeevy...and SAD. But hey, that is the part of the Plyg Bliss that this crew has been trying to sell for 8 years.
Didn't buy it then and still don't!! Is anyone ???
3- Kody, the Village Idiot, has NOT changed one iota !!
He was like a 2 year old crazy/delighted toddler so enthralled with himself even back then. A grown man who just loved looking in the camera (like a toddler looking in a mirror) and announcing that HE has three...oops, no, make that FOUR wives ??? He still is the Idiot that he was at the beginning!!

I can't believe I'm going to say this but....You know I don't think Robyn was that bad in the beginning. I just don't see it in this flash back episode to their wedding. Everyone was happy and getting along and seemed to be truly excited. But I think with Kody's non stop attention and worship empowered Robyn to manipulate him with her slim fit body. Something Kody hadn't been with for years. I think his horney midlife behavior created a demanding and entitled Monster. The horney scene of Meri dressing him to go off and bed a new woman is just heart breaking. He just flaunts it in her face how horney he is, yuck.
ReplyDeleteKody put Robyn up in a pedistal and she kept pushing and manipulating until she got the legal marriage, her kids adopted into the will, and what we hear is a monogamous marriage.
I think she was able to usurp Meri so easily because Meri was starved for a friend (the isolation and loneliness of her own doing). I think Meri was devastated when Robyn took over Kody's world and she became the odd man out. Relegated to join the other sisterwives that didn't appear to have a "special" relationship like Meri and Kody's storybook first love romance. In Meri's eyes she was Kody's one and only, soul mate and the following two were not any competition for her. (Even though she acknowledged bubbly Christine was the one she was jealous of) but as soon as Christine and Janelle got "weighted" down with kids, she, Meri could still run away with Kody and be the single, honeymoon couple and leave Mariah with the pack.
I agree with every word! More-over, according to their book Kody and Meri have had marital issues that required counseling since1998/1999... Bringing Robyn into the fold was supposed to strengthen Meri's position and relationship with Kody... she states that her and Kody's relationship IMPROVED after he married both Janelle and Christine
DeleteWedded Bliss? Um...weren't Meri, Robin, and Kody in therapy together the weeks leading up to Robin's wedding due to Meri being unhappy and jealous? Was it not adding Robin to the family that brought out the jealousy and anger of Christine, and shortly after Robin's wedding, Christine and Kody started couples therapy. And Janelle actually left Kody and Meri at one point and lived in a seperate home early in their msrriage. And now you have Meri lonely seeking attention from others online.

Janelle and Meri admitted they don't even ride in the same car together to the appt. crazy when it's not like they are coming from jobs in opposite directions but leaving their driveways, backing into each other, at the same time. makes me wonder when was the last time they ever rode together!

Really, who wanted to see Maddie's wedding AGAIN a week later?!
However, the first hour's retrospect of Sobbin's wedding and the "Kody Should Be Committed" ceremony did prompt a few thoughts and a possible revelation.
It never made any sense why the producers drove that plot of hiring a rookie seamstress with just three weeks to work on those dresses. Especially since the epps leading up to it were all about the farce of ALL the prep for creating the mission statement, food, lights, band etc.
Why would those women, and as fashion-challenged as they were (and still are), and knowing they would be filmed for TV, agree to such a ridiculous premise. Come on, Vegas is loaded with "formal" dress stores.
Then it dawned on me.
For over one and a half seasons, the viewers had bought into the faux drama and suspense of the finding and building of the McMansions.
It was epp after epp of...
Would they get the mortgages?
Would each wife get her heart's desire?
Whose house would be finished on time?
And whose wouldn't be?
Oh the tittivating suspense of it all !! Remember?!
Looks like TLC just figured if that scripted plot worked well with the MsMansions, then why not do it again? Just changing it to the dresses!
And the ladies of Kodyworld surely paid the price for that decision.
Meri's lime green, sausage-casing dress will never be forgotten.
Janelle's electric blue number looked a badly upholstered chair. Christine's ensemble looked like Maid Marian waiting for Robin Hood.
Sobbin, while nicely made-up and coiffed, was also good for a funeral.
Yep, TLC made sure that the "dresses" would be memorable...SW-iconic!!

Got my new years day off to an exhilarating start catching up and watching Maddie's wedding, what with Kody's all about me attitude and Jangle's it's gonna be a struggle speech wasn't exactly the celebration I expected but surely 2017 can only get better ?
ReplyDeleteLook at the look on Maddie & caleb's faces near the end of maddies wedding in the garter belt scene after her brother caught it. They both looked upset. Something distasteful happened I'm sure. Then the wives talking heads sure didn't make it any better.
Deletethe children will continue to keep the show fresh. I am impressed Mariah felt secure enough to announce being gay but being in the public eye, she may have felt she needed to get it out there. I don't know for sure how good or bad the parents relationships are because there is a falseness that I think has more to do with their religion than being on tv. I want the show to continue... (even though it is admittedly sometimes bad editing and bad acting)
