I Scour the Internet: The Good, the Sad, and the Weirdly Fugly Edition for March 3rd, 2017

In case some of you have been out of the Sister Wives loop for a couple seasons, and let's be real, I don't blame your absence at all, our favorite ex-Mrs Kody Brown has stepped up to the plate to hit a financial home run with her newest MLM venture.

Yeppers, Meri has drunk the LuLaRoe kool-aid, and she likes it!

Well, I think she does, at any rate.

And it appears she is very successful in this latest venture. Too bad she hasn't partnered with her sisterwives Robyn and her less than illustrious online store MSWC, nor with Janelle (affectionately known as Jangle here in CJ's Living Room) and her venture to STRIVE for better health and well-being with her health tips and encouragement blog.

True to Brown Family form, Meri continues to be a day late and a dollar short when capitalizing on her sister wives fame to make a quick buck by showing the monogamists of the world how sisterwives can be successful and empowered women despite sharing the same neanderthal for a husband.

So, I searched out the internet to get the scoop on this rather hot MLM that almost everyone is talking about.

Here is a sampling of what I found.

LuLaRoe, as described on the company's website, was created by its founder DeAnne Stidman to "...provide an opportunity for people to create freedom by selling comfortable, affordable, stylish clothing, and offering its Retailers the independence to set their own pace and schedule."

Funny how there is only the tiniest mention that this company was the latest in Stidman's adventures in "network-based marketing" more commonly known as multi-level marketing...aka MLM.

Ah...the plot thickens...

Beyond all the empowerment hype, there is the daunting realization that, in order to get one's foot in the LLR door,  an initial investment of almost $5000.00 (for the all important onboarding box) is required for the privilege to start selling the LLR inventory as a "consultant"  at pop-ups and social media live events.

Oh, and did I mention, consultants have no say in the lovely patterns or colors that LLR ships to them?

Oh yeah. This can quickly get very, very ugly pretty darn quick.

I mean, with LIV (the other MLM the Browns are involved with), you pretty much knew that each product was the same for everyone. With LLR, some consultants might get the coveted solid black leggings, while others might get prints only their ancient great-grandmother could love.

Even with these negatives, women are falling literally all over themselves to get onto the LLR bandwagon. Here's a video I found on You-tube of a typical LLR fanatic describing her first week of sales.

The Good...

Oh, and she was so excited she completely forgot about her onboarding box! Shame on her!

This gal's enthusiasm almost made ME want to get on that LLR bandwagon with her!

But wait, there's more!

The Sad...

From  the happy happy joy joy enthusiasm we can segue to the reality for most of the women yearning to be consultants, mainly, how do you finance the expensive $5000 outlay for that onboarding box?

Here's how one consultant met that challenge...

If you prefer to put all your eggs into one basket by quitting your day job, you might end up like this hapless LLR consultant wannabe...

But wait...there's more!

It seems LLR has been in the news a lot recently. From a class action lawsuit to customers dissatisfaction with leggings ripping themselves apart, LLR has receive a lot of negative attention.

Here are links to some news articles detailing LLR's recent woes:

LuLaRoe's Business Is Booming But Some Sellers Are Fuming

This clothing company is facing claims that its 'pants rip like wet toilet paper'

And here's a fun read about what happens when your LLR leggings decide to go rogue at Disney World!

LULAROE FOR TRAVEL: THAT TIME MY PANTS DISINTEGRATED IN DISNEY WORLD

Last but not least, we come to the final section...

The Weirdly Fugly

Here's another video I found that summarizes the LLR phenomenon.  A little bit of LLR history, and a lot of how LLR works for the woman who decides to place an order...

So there you have it. The Good, The Sad and the Weirdly Fugly world of LuLaRoe.

Makes me wonder what Meri really thinks about her newest venture. Hmmmmmm....Let's hope she can keep it positive because those McMansions don't pay for themselves!

That's all for now, and remember I Scour the Internet so YOU can make an informed choice before laying out your hard earned megabucks for air-conditioned leggings!

  1. I would like to share a lula row story. A good friend of mine decided to sell lula row and included me in a pop up party. As a friend and a lover of leggings I decided to buy one pair to try. Figuring why not people seem to love them. Well fast forward two weeks later I am wearing my new pair of purple owl lula row leggings. Walking around with my daughter looking at Christmas lights. My daughter drops her bunny I bend down to pick it up and SNAP my leggings rip literally from my knee to my butt. Thankfully I had a sweater to tie around my waist for the walk back to the car. Nothing quite like walking around cold butt cheek out on Christmas eve to turn you off the brand permanently.

  2. Thanks CJ for the LulaRoe info.
Yes, the craze has hit where I live too. I went to a Christmas trunk show at a friend's house where one of the venders was a LLR seller.
I went only to support my friend.
Okay, there were leggings, lots of leggings!! But to me they were just run of the mill, available anywhere "leggings" !!!
Uh, how wonderfully special and unusual can you make thin, stretchy "leggings" beyond making them out of wild, 70's-disco, bizarre animal prints? Prints that can look more like pre-teen (or younger) pajamas or maybe what you wear on the couch when home sick from work or on a tropical vacation.
Had no intention of buying anything on her rack, but did listen to comments as other buyers looked them over. It was a good cross-section of ages. Most women were looking for black or dark prints, of which none were available. One younger woman complained about the odd sizing she had already encountered when ordering from a pop-up sale online. Two middle-aged women were comparing notes on leggings their teen daughters had bought which had arrived damaged. Yep, they had tiny holes.
The LuLaRoe seller that day did very little business compared to the other venders who were selling their wares.
My conclusion after being able to see and touch the material...
The founder is making a killing on hawking over-priced but cheaply made, cheap material clothing. And good for her and her sellers!
But possibly Costco/ Walmart/Old Navy/Gap may have similar or better deals.

    1. Call me Cynical, but I just don't get the leggings thing at all. LLR leggings fabric looks very thin and fragile (over processed to create that butter feel). I don't trust wearing pants without a long top and jacket or sweater, so I can't imagine wearing what looks like footless tights in public, with a short top! Eventually LLR consultants will realize somebody is making money, and it ain't them!

    2. And what the heck does butter feel like anyway? I'm looking at a nude stick of butter right now, and I can't bring myself to feel it. Now if they said "smooth as a baby's bottom" ok, I get that means extra soft. But butter????

      Delete
    3. You're so right about the "butter" hype.
When feeling the material, it surely does feel over-processed, or manufactured with less fibers? to create a look and feel of wearing ultra-thin long underwear. So thin that you could easily poke your nail through it with little effort or pressure. Reminded me of overstretched pantyhose minus the feet.

    4. Thanks for the laugh, the lady in green was hilarious. Can't understand when you are selling something but only at strange times. Sounds reasonable for Meri though. Don't think she really wants to work, but if she wants to sell something for an hour I guess she thinks everyone should accommodate her. Get a real job already, with set hours. SIGH

  3. Hilarious and informative at the same time, as always CJ!

So, this popped up in my GooodReads March newsletter: The Polygamist's Daughter by Anna LeBaron. Will see if I can borrow it from a library and perhaps provide commentary later. Looks like it's been out for six months; has anyone read it yet?

  5. There's a little, I mean tiny, mention of the Sisterwives in the March 13 issue of InTouch magazine. It said Meri was not present and lately"a bit removed from the rest of the family" and Kody was "being distant" from the family at a local sighting in Las Vegas.

  11. Did you ever notice how when you hear or talk about something then it seems to pop up frequently?
Well, this discussion about LuLaRoe has brought two sightings since Sunday. First while at the grocery store, a woman in line was LLR from head to toe. Seriously, she looked like she had just grabbed random items, none of which were even in color harmony, and layered herself right down to those fugly, nutty leggings.
Being judgemental here, I will own....but she looked just plain silly. Childishly silly.
Then today a not so slim woman was walking (in a business setting) in front of me sporting a cropped sweater with what were obviously LLR leggings of a bizarre mustard green/red/orange jungle print. The print was bad enough, but her butt and thighs were "jiggling" as she walked in those oh so soft, buttery leggings. Dollar store pantyhose would have held in her "parts" better!!
You just know that once this fad is history, a lot of "adult" women are going to want to forget they ever wore this stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I work in an elementary school. Lula Roe has taken over the staff's wardrobe. It doesn't seem to matter the size of the person, at least 50% of the teacher's are sporting these obscene hose daily. A few of them wear them quite nicely with a dress or at least a long tunic that covers the butt. However, some--including large and jiggly ladies--are wearing them with t-shirts. I guess they may be supremely comfortable for the wearer, but not so much for the observer.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Yeah, I won't be cramming my jiggly parts into something so form fitting you can see what I had for breakfast. I guess the black leggings are the least offensive looking on the women who choose to wear them with a shorter top. But apparently you have to fight like a she-devil to get anything black from lularoe. Some of the consultants are very pleasant to listen to on periscope. They have real sales ability and appear to be hard workers. I kind of feel sorry for them that they chose lularoe.

  14. The other "Fugly" would be the price tag. WHO WANTS TO PAY THAT MUCH MONEY FOR LEGGINGS?! Not only that, who wants to pay for leggings with Pizza, Scuba divers, squirrels, or even killer whales on them? I'm sorry, but in what weird acid-tripping world is that accepted as "Fashion?" #gross

I get squirrels and whales and owls--known as critter prints and consistently popular, but....

Pizza pants? Two words that never should have been paired.

What does the pizza end up looking like when the leggings are stretched across the Rubenesque?

Scuba divers on your leggings? An interesting way to send a subliminal message.

  15. For all of you who have seen these LLR sightings, where do you live? There is always crazy fashion here in the SF Bay Area so not sure I would totally spot these clothes but they sound like a lot of peri- and menopausal women are making fools of themselves. Oh dear...

    ReplyDelete
  16. My friend works at a middle school and one of the teachers sells LLR. She is very aggressive about getting the others to purchase from her. The principal has become a huge fan. This woman is a really large girl and the leggings do not flatter her at all. The other teachers will not say anything because she is the principal and they are afraid they will lose their jobs if they insult her, so everybody just laughs behind her back. It is actually very sad. Also, you would think that one glance in the mirror would tell her that this "style" is not working.

  19. I saw "Brother Husbands". The family is polyandrous and secular. They came together because the husband's best friend developed feelings for the wife. Apparently, the woman is the only breadwinner and the two men are stay at home dad's to the five children.

  20. Lula roe is huge in the Shenandoah Valley where I live. I swear the majority of women who wear them here are overweight middle aged women. I'm overweight and 35 and I don't understand how these women think they look good in this line of clothing. I don't like body shaming so this is challenging to write but the clothes just don't seem to flatter the overweight body or else I would have purchased them. I've seen pulls and tears in the tights on numerous women around here. One lady at the local salon says she owns 30 pairs and she is over 300 pounds. Maybe I need to try some on to feel the magic but I'm just not convinced. The best of the worst looks is when these women have a long shirt/dress/tunic and don't use the tights solely as pants. The layering helps that if done correctly.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You aren't body shaming, you're telling the truth. I have a friend who weighs over 300 pounds and she is the one who says "There are just certain styles that should NOT be made in my size!" We were walking by a plus sized store and she saw a tunic with brightly colored vertical stripes and said, "Hello Ringling Brothers circus tent!" I guarantee you she doesn't own a single pair of leggings.

  21. MrSpock does not like wild prints so the LuLaRoe leggings are not appealing. MrSpock agrees with the assessment that leggings look best on slimmer women. Unsure if anyone around MrSpock's universe wears LuLaRoe---have not seen anything like these clothes in this area but will keep an eye out.

  22. You need to have a great butt in order to wear leggings in public without a long shirt. My opinion is that it looks desperate or slobbish on women over 25 who try and wear this look, especially if you have some cottage cheese showing.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm a runner and my friends who sell Lularoe tried to tell me they would be perfect for running. So I was sucker and bought a pair. Obviously they don't work for running. I did wear them once under another pair of running pants because it was -25 degrees outside.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Back here on the East Coast, trends and fads routinely, and sometimes quickly, come and go.
Yes, the psycho circus/jungle gone wild/crazy, almost hallucinatory aspect of most of these prints on the leggings is snark-worthy, and for sure are not flattering when worn by those who just shouldn't.

However, even more worthy of criticism is the much reported poor quality at those prices. This is the stuff you'd expect to see piled up in plastic sleeves at flea markets or discount outlets selling at super low prices to match the quality and workmanship.

  25. Just saw this this morning - http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/11/politics/utah-bigamy-law/index.html

Because the Sister Wives family sued, they made the law even more ironclad and the Dargers called it "a huge step backward." I'm just sitting her chuckling to myself as yet another attempt at something by the Kody Klan backfires. Does that make me a little heartless?

Someone really should tell Sobbin that if she simply must habitually check for eye crust, at least then don't look at it before she tosses off into the air.

As usual it was "our religious beliefs/our church"...and if that was true, how come any long-time viewer can only count on one hand (two fingers to be exact) in 8 years when they have attended "a religious service" beyond twice cramming the family room chairs together for "church" while Kody pontificated as he made it all up.

"We added Adsense into this blog in 2013. Every single time you click on one of my pages I earn money. I have earned more money from my “clickbait” software and Adsense clickthroughs than I have on my 2 book sales. How funny is that. And that again, is the trolls. They spend hours on my blog per week and I collect the money from them clicking away. Pretty funny actually. If they stopped coming here to read this I wouldn’t make as much money. Before everything blew up I was making maybe $50 a month. I’m ashamed (Not really) to say it’s a heck of a lot more than that per month now. I use that money to donate to the 2 charities. It has paid for the hosting of this blog, the domain renewal, the privacy features, and has sent me and my family on 5 vacations. It has more than paid for itself. That’s the best thing about blogging. If you know what companies to link up with you can actually make a lot of money. Pretty cool, huh?"

So don't go over and check on the page feed to update any news. Sick sick sick is all I can say. I'm not sure the “clickbait” software and Adsense clickthroughs is true but I'm not willing to put it through the test. I have Privacy Badger running along with AdBlocker Plus so hopefully it didn't work on my computer.

The OTHER thing I wanted to mention was "Sister Wives' Daughter Mariah Comes Out As A Lesbian"

Did anyone catch the thing on Reddit a couple of weeks back when people (actors) were talking about how hard it was to get a job in Hollywood lately unless you were Gay? All I could think of was the Sister Wives and the Mariah episode. I think it was fake and we were Catfished. The producers said it would be great for ratings and they (producers/family) forced or highly encouraged Mariah to go along with it for the money.

      Just my opinion.

I believe that bigger women (and yes, I consider myself to be "bigger" so I truly hope no one takes offense to that reference) are purchasing the brand because it offers Vanity sizing. I normally wear a size 12-14 pants, L-XL shirt. In LLR, I can wear an XS or S. Even the largest women could wear a size or two smaller than they might normally would. I do believe that the vanity sizing plays a role in its popularity.

  32. So, my old fart and I have bought an old house that we are renovating. We moved in before the renovations were complete and this week, we are rewiring the electric so we can add an electric stove, central heat and air, etc., which means we had to go to the laundry mat to do our clothes. Let me just say that I had no idea how much it cost to wash clothes. The last time I used a laundry mat it cost a quarter to wash and maybe a dime to dry. I almost shit and think I need to open a laundry mat. But, while at the laundry mat, I was watching some of the folks come and go and in walks this 60 something woman with a bunch of kids trailing calling her mimaw (a common title from grandma in our area). She was quite saggy in the buttocks and legs and belly and I know this because she had on a pair of leggings. Yes, she had leggings on as pants and a belly spilling top that did nothing to conceal her very large camel toe. After a while of trying to watch her without being noticed, someone came through the door who knew her and I am not sure she was sincere but the friend said she really like the sixty something's new lularues. Yep...apparently having your ass hanging out in all its glory, jelly roll bouncy around, legs shaking, and your camel toe on display is the look of the trendy grandmothers....holy shit.

These clothes are not only cheaply made and over-priced, there should be an age limit on who wears them. A limit like at amusement parks where you have to be a certain height to get on certain rides!
At the very least, there should a mandate on "how" they are worn.

    2. Man runKodyRun, that made me laugh. It made me wonder if a person could dress any more inappropriately, short of going naked. Your story reminded me of an episode of My Big Fat Fabulous Life. Whitney got a job at a ball park. She couldn't fit their uniform bottom, which was tan slacks. So she went out to find tan plus size pants and couldn't find anything except tan plus size leggings. She tries the outfit on to show her boss what she's going to go out and work at the game in. The lady boss told her "Well, from a distance it looks like you're not wearing anything". So they let Whitney wear her black stretch pants. And I'm not fat shaming anybody. Not everybody can or should wear everything. In the case of leggings being worn as pants, I wonder if anyone over 6 or 50 lbs should wear them.

    1. I think you can now only read the blog if you have a tumblr account.

    2. I do have a tumbler account, and Principle and myself contacted each other frequently; are you able to get on Principle's tumblr blog then?

      Delete
    3. it seems to have disappeared without a trace. due to the protocols used by tumblr, not even waybackmachine can show you any of the content.
i hope principle is ok and can put the tumblr back up soon, it's an invaluable source of info. if this is about unauthorised use of material by the media, i would suggest that the value of the tumblr to activists and researchers was such as to far outweigh the annoyance of tabloids not giving credit where credit is due.
anyway, principle, hope you're ok, please come back, we need you, and not just for entertainment purposes.

    4. Yes,bOred_nOw, I agree. Thanks for the reply. I hope Principle is OK. Yes, WE NEED YOU. Apologies to CJ for using her blog for this purpose. (We need you too!)

    5. I just tried and, yep, it looks like you need to have a tumblr account to log in. I remember the last time I read ThePrinciple's blog she had taken steps to correct an issue she was having. It's too bad she had to take further steps and make her blog private.

    6. sadly, having a tumblr account makes no difference. the blog is simply gone and since the associated messaging address was the only way i had of contacting principle, there's not even a way apart from hoping that she still reads her of begging her to come up.

    7. I do have a tumblr account CJ - a private one, and Principle and myself were in regular contact exchanging information. But I cannot find the tumblr at all - I am told it does not exist at that address. As bOred_nOw says - it has gone.

I too have tried to find Politics-r-us Principle....I am crushed that I can not find her.... my entire interest in Polygamy stemmed from helping a family member find info on her in-laws through that website... if anyone has any info please please post.... thank you CJ for all you do and letting us post

  36. Mariah has announced she is in a relationship with Audrey Kriss, fellow Westminister college student and lesbian activist. Intersting fact, I know this girl. She is cute and intelligent and a charming person. The polar opposite of Mariah. She is set to be on the show. Also to be noted, Mariah is very needy and they have a lot of problems so who knows if this is a fleeting moment for Kriss and reality tv.

    1. Not surprised either. Of course, I also suspect she "adopted" this lesbian identity. For many reasons, I don't buy it but that's just me. I certainly could be wrong but to me it seems like she wants to be seen as some higher-thinking, intellectual feminist and being a lesbian just fits. Guess time will tell.

    2. Jasmine I completely agree. If she is good for her, but it's hard to believe a Brown. The whole family are known liars and attention seekers.

      Delete
  37. Interesting !
So the show is apparently going to showcase Mariah, her current partner/advocate and likely, the LGBT agenda.

Given the ratings slump of the past few seasons, Kody must have had to have a talk with himself about being more open to topical story lines and scenarios for the show's future.
Will his acceptance and cooperation be authentic as it should be, or will it be a necessary (strategic) compromise on his part?
With SW's history of convenient reversals, who knows?

  38. Roybun is posting quotes about divorce and how to accept an apology you never get on pinterest. My spidy senses are tingling.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Robyn and Kody are on the cover of life and style right now. There will not be a divorce until the show is officially over. Robyn just wants attention and that is why she is posting those quotes. I think it kills her that Meri and Janelle get all the attention with their pursuits and Robyn has completely failed with MySisterWifes Closet. I do believe that in the end Meri and Janelle's pursuits will be complete failures.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Has anyone read the Yahoo article that says Robyn is pregnant again? Is this true or a ratings ploy?

    ReplyDelete
  41. On another website someone said that Meri's catfish had hacked Kendra's social media a long time ago and it could be that Jackie is the one giving information to the media under Kendra's name.

  42. LuLaroe is huge on military bases! AAAALLLLLL the wives are sporting them with their coach bags and jeep strollers. As it is difficult to maintain a career over many (forced) moves, Mil Spouses are very into various sell-from-home "businesses". And lordy do they love themselves some leggings! I will say I prefer to see LLRs at the grocery store and px instead of the pajama pants and flip flops that had taken over for a while there.

Being a woman of a certain size and age, I don't own even one pair of black leggings, much less a wardrobe full of ones designed to emphasize each and every physical flaw I have!

  43. I stopped watching this show a year or more ago. I am soooo sick and tired of the catfishing storyline I could puke. However, I LOVE this site! I've been an avid reader since it started and get the biggest joy out of everyone's snark...keep it up ladies!!! Did anyone notice that Sister Wives was renewed for another season? It can be verified on RenewCancelTV.com WHHYYYY?????

    ReplyDelete
  44. Since the news buzz is that there WILL be yet another season of TLC income for the Brown grifters......questions arise....

Beyond Mariah and her partner du jour starring in whatever that turns out to be, coupled with Mykelti's wedding and Maddie's inevitable delivery (ALL will be already "old" stories by airtime)... what else can possibly be captivating SW news to fill up another whole season???

    SO far.....
Okay, Mariah is gay and has a girlfriend who is strong in LGBT advocacy...check!!!!
Mykelti was married and pictures were taken...check!!!!!
Maddie *will* have her baby before the season begins....check !!!!

Will sycophant fans and snarkers alike have to suffer through those boring, re-fried 2 hour episodes AGAIN???
(they really WERE exhausting and boring to the point of annoying)

Will Jangle-Janelle's bizarre STRIVE attempt at money-making get a big TLC push? Will she show up having lost amazing pounds/inches validating and authenticating why all the rabid minions should sign up and be like her? And fund her bank account???

Will Sobbin reappear claiming her Legal Wife throne??? (hope not!)

Will everyone be wearing Meri's over-priced, goofy-ugly, cheaply-made LLR garage sale ensembles?? Has Meri been successful selling this crap enough to finally fly the coop??? Will she be ready to Leave the idiot who tossed her aside to shut up his current fav-wife, and agreeing to film it all to keep the drama going for that TLC paycheck??

What else can they possibly conjure up to justify another season??
    What does everyone think ??

    ReplyDelete
  45. Amused, I think it will be a combination of everything you said!! I like the idea of Janelle showing herself (or to use the new buzz word on the news shows - "unmask" herself) with some eye catching weight loss to promote Strive. They could take a page from Mama June and keep Janelle hidden from sight until she's lost some drastic weight. If they can make a show out of the Boo Boo's centered around June losing 100 lbs - surely Janelle could be motivated by some money to do the same! That would grab some ratings! I have to think that TLC is adrift for programming and the reason this show gets renewed is because either TlC is not creative enough to think up a new show--or it's viewers are too lazy to care!

    ReplyDelete
  46. I don't care how much weight she loses because her personality is so lacking. Watching her talk about anything is like watching paint dry. Imho of course.

  47. Maddie is due next month with baby boy Brush. Do we want to make predictions on the name?! I remember we had fun on this blog making guesses about Robyn's name choice.

If they film the birth for the show, I can only imagine Kody having to insert himself for camera time. I hope Madison is not okay with Kody being front and center during the baby's birth like Robyn's dad was.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. EEEEEEWWWW! You said "Kody having to insert himself for camera time" and all I could think of was Robyn's dad sitting in a chair at the FOOT of the bed watching her birth the newest one. I hope Kody doesn't go that far.....

    2. How about "Combin" Brush

      Big Sky,
Could there be any doubt that the IDIOT *will* insert himself, somehow, someway into the birth drama.
Since Maddie is conveniently living in the cuddle-sec, he probably is on ego-sentry duty as we speak.

    3. I think they will go with one of those trendy mormon names. For example, anything that ends in an o-n or e-n: Jaxton, Grayson, Bronson, Marsten, Brayden (or any of the "aiden" names), Mason, Jackson, etc.

      Delete
    4. Yes! I am liking these ideas. Amused, I enjoyed "combin" as I was going to suggest "Scrub!" I seem to remember some of Kody's kids were good-naturedly making fun of the name "Brown" with regards to what they might name Sol. There sure could be a case for the same treatment with the last name of "Brush."
@Abreva Anyone? I think you could be spot-on that it will be something trendy and I loved all your examples. I also wonder if Madison would ever follow her Mom's lead (ala Sarah Palin) and go with place names. Logan (Utah), Madison (Wisconsin), Savannah (Georgia) Garrison (Colorado)......Maybe Reno?!

      Delete
    5. Or maybe even Las Vegas! lol

I actually don't find any of these names particularly offensive. They just feel more "cute" than names an adult grows into. Names are so personal but I've always been turned off by trends. I guess I am boring. I like the more classic names.

      Delete
    6. I was thinking Fuller would be a GREAT first name! lol

      Delete
    7. That really made me LOL!!! Fuller Brush! Most people of the younger persuasion would not understand that name :)

      Delete
  48. I'm going to guess Noah Curtis Brush... based on some of her social media stuff I'm pretty positive the middle will be Curtis after Kody's brother and Caleb's brother-in-law.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I have a question for my fellow bloggers - was I the only one clueless that Maddie and her husband were living with the Brown's in Vegas??! (I'm assuming they are at Janelle's house from the instagram pictures?) I don't follow the Browns on social media and only see their posts when CJ has them up on her blog. What happened to moving from Montana after their wedding back to his hometown in Wyoming??

AND--what was the deal with all his talk that he needed to kick it up a notch (loosely paraphrasing!) with regards to getting a job because he was expecting a baby?? Is this how you kick it up a notch - put your life in stall mode so you can live with your in-laws for a reality tv payout?? I'm thinking this has to do with filming her pregnancy/birth for the show? So, yet another Brown child looks like their decisions are driven by the reality tv $$$

    1. I'm thinking that 'your' thinking is spot on, Big Sky !!

I guess watching Pop and his four bed-buddies grift and perform for TV cash for years can be a training ground that some Plyg kids seriously take to heart and just can't resist trying it out too.
The needed magic element is if the kids can hook up with like-minded grifter wannabees who surely welcome the easy cash and who also don't mind the loss of dignity.

I am holding out hope, though, that Maddie will NOT use her baby's labor and birth for TLC $$$.
Fine if they choose to live in the Kody compound in lieu of making their own way, but to be the next generation of TV on-camera birthers ala Duggers is just such blatant grifting.
      Geez...Have some pride !!!

  50. I wish they would stop giving birth for a few seconds. It's such a boring story line, and it's been done a million times now, so how is a new baby still a big deal on this show?
